Unless such a period of no arrivals is instituted in the next 3 hours or so, only domestic flights are impacted. MCO does not have 24 hours immigration and border control services for some reason...

I don't know how much that matters. You've seen weather in one area of the country can affect flights all over the country. Maybe this will be different because the airlines have time to process the cancellations and move planes around. I guess will find out this weekend.

Government will almost certainly be reopened before Thanksgiving.
On a different note, I’ve probably flown over 100 times and gotten pretty lucky and never got a flight canceled. My flight last Thursday got “delayed” from 7 pm to 6 am the next day (but not technically canceled) because:

“Delayed to allow for an Air Traffic Control delay or ground stop”

Return flight had no problems. So I guess the no cancelation streak continues?
