I'll give you this, if Walt Disney had walked into Imagineering in 1965 and they had both Star Tours and Indiana Jones Adventure and he was told that he could take either or leave them, but they must remain as presented with zero changes; I assume he would seriously consider it. Whether he, as a well-known heel digger himself, would accept those terms is a whole other story and one that there is no right answer to. So sure, I'll concede that Walt would have considered these design choices if he was presented with these finalized versions. I still do find them antithetical to the design choices he landed upon and led with at each step of the way.

If this becomes a regular thing I have to assume they'll give him an actual location inside AC. I think they just haven't this year due to all the construction going on right now. I'd actually like to have him become a permanent part of the rotating characters in AC.
I'd honesty love to see some X-Men take over the tired and not too great parts of Avengers Campus. Heck, I'd take anything to replace WEB Slingers and Pym's (not the food, just the vibe). That and the Avengers HQ Jet Hangar looks cool as an idea, but it's so poorly designed for a theme park. Especially with Red Trolly being gone. There should be a stage area to elevate the performers, the designated photo meet and greet should be somewhere better than an awkward corner of the building. That could be a great complex that blends free public space, guided public space (meet and greet) and performance space making all of it feel immersive and integrated.
Wonder if that is the ultimate plan for Hyperion, a mini area for X-Men with an attraction.

The idea wasn't about trying to compare them, but rather (since you brought it up in the first place) whether Walt would have liked any of the modern IP based attractions or not. My guess is no.
Well in all fairness, if Disney hadn't moved in this direction its very possible the company and thus the Parks wouldn't exist today. So while it may not be where you want the company, in many ways it saved the company.

I would agree. However, I wasn't intending to compare Deadpool specifically to Star Wars, I was comparing Marvel Movies and superheroes in general to Star Wars. Those are pretty similar in regard to themes, audience, tone, appeal.
In part yes. Because like it or not Disney was seen as only a "kid" company for a long time, only producing stuff that was solely kid friendly. And while there is nothing wrong with that, it did limit the company and left it ripe for takeover. Its Ron Miller and then Eisner who moved the company into being more diverse and move into the teen and more adult content with Touchstone, Hollywood Pictures, and Miramax. Or did you forget that R rated movies like Good Morning Vietnam, Pretty Woman, Cocktail, and Pulp Fiction were Disney. So Disney has been producing R rated content long before they bought Marvel, or 21st Century, and produced Deadpool and Wolverine.

Not sure what this means. But its clear you forgot that Disney has been producing R rated movies since the 80s, long before Deadpool and Wolverine came out. And yes it saved the company, or did you forget about that little take over attempt in the 80s.
