Sure there are some good headliners, and they may have decent capacity among those few rides, but the roster is severely lacking capacity overall... especially in the summer when bad weather hits.

We've thought about getting Legoland for our son, but living 20 minutes away from Disney, Universal, and Sea World (with their free APs for kids), it seems redundant.

Maybe we'll save up to go to Thailand on holiday. There's no good Thai food in Orlando.

Try Maya Thai. It is very good and you are right around the corner from it.

Yes, it was noticeable during my visit that we could easily walk around the park (some areas felt nearly empty) even though you couldn't find a ride with a wait time below 60 minutes from about 10:30 am onward. Part of the issue is seen at WDW as well--most new rides have lower hourly capacity than rides built in the 70s, 80s, and 90s. These companies really need to address this issue. How did the DK coaster get approved with such a low hourly capacity?

Based on prior experience dealing with big entertainment licensors, I’d bet Nintendo set the rules from the start. The park team probably just paid up and followed the playbook.

Maybe they deliberately didn't give much shade too discourage AP holders from having picnics in the parks.

But anyone who has seen the reviews for Super Nintendo World in Osaka and Hollywood would also know that.

This is a bit dismissive. First off, sunscreen and a hat don't stop heat exhaustion or the general misery that comes from being outside in the sun in Florida summers.

Epic notably has the least amount of shade of all of the Orlando parks, and while this will get better as the trees go in, it isn't just the trees being small that's a problem. The park just truly doesn't have many areas that are not in direct sunlight or indoor spaces to offer relief without shopping or eating.
