Because it was designed with a high gate capacity but a low ride capacity? But it certainly isn't why the park faces the issues it does.

Try Maya Thai. It is very good and you are right around the corner from it.We've thought about getting Legoland for our son, but living 20 minutes away from Disney, Universal, and Sea World (with their free APs for kids), it seems redundant.
Maybe we'll save up to go to Thailand on holiday. There's no good Thai food in Orlando.
I believe that a solution is two years (many MANY bucketloads of money) awayPretty much.
Sure there are some good headliners, and they may have decent capacity among those few rides, but the roster is severely lacking capacity overall... especially in the summer when bad weather hits.
Yes, it was noticeable during my visit that we could easily walk around the park (some areas felt nearly empty) even though you couldn't find a ride with a wait time below 60 minutes from about 10:30 am onward. Part of the issue is seen at WDW as well--most new rides have lower hourly capacity than rides built in the 70s, 80s, and 90s. These companies really need to address this issue. How did the DK coaster get approved with such a low hourly capacity?Because it was designed with a high gate capacity but a low ride capacity?
Based on prior experience dealing with big entertainment licensors, I’d bet Nintendo set the rules from the start. The park team probably just paid up and followed the playbook. How did the DK coaster get approved with such a low hourly capacity?
What gives you this idea? Sure seems like AP options aren’t coming any time soon based on their ride capacity problems.seeing as it sounds like AP options are coming soon.
Florida is hot and sunny. Wear sunscreen and a hat. Problem solved. What's the issue with all the complaints regarding no shade from sun?
They did it to keep you away. How could you ignore something like this whilst making a park in Orlando. Has their been any official response from Universal on this?
Yes. They are not.Secondly, there appears to be some issues that the actual attractions in Nintendo Land have mixed reviews. Is there truth to that? Donkey Kong and Mario Kart are not world beaters?
Florida is hot and sunny. Wear sunscreen and a hat. Problem solved.
Of course it is.This is a bit dismissive. First off, sunscreen and a hat don't stop heat exhaustion or the general misery that comes from being outside in the sun in Florida summers.
Epic notably has the least amount of shade of all of the Orlando parks, and while this will get better as the trees go in, it isn't just the trees being small that's a problem. The park just truly doesn't have many areas that are not in direct sunlight or indoor spaces to offer relief without shopping or eating.
Gets bored of moaning about Disney APs. Moves onto Uni APs.
SeaWorld next?
I’ve got you beat
