In the Parks
No
What’s wrong with it? That it’s clearly wrong. Ride the Safari and take a look at how they have to have high voltage chains between each section to prevent the animals from crossing over. As I said, predators, eat prey. So, it makes no sense for a park that is all about nature and conservation to have an attraction with animals that defy the laws of nature.
Can you explain what is being depicted in this image?

The Secrets of the Tree of Life at Disney's Animal Kingdom

It's not that far fetched to have a show themed to animals coexisting under a tree that shows animals coexisting. Because clearly, this tree doesn't belong in the park because it defies nature

I think there needs to be a major wake-up at WDI, and especially in HR, that they need to find and hire and retain "the best" out there, and raise the bar on the work from where it's currently at.
I honestly think "The Best out there" would want to avoid WDI like the plague now since WDI still only really exists now as a branch of the marketing department and I don't think truly creative people would want to be reduced to that.

They represent actual animals

Not animals dressed as humans with one liners

Fail

I hate to point this out but parks like EPCOT (or at least how it used to be) and DAK are going to have some socio-political messaging in them. It is really baked in to the parks themes. I really feel the fact that Disney has become so risk averse and constantly being afraid of offending people is why the parks are having their themes sucked out of them.

Discovery, culture and conservation

Those used to be fairly “non-political”

The animals in the film are actual animals

Literally just animals acting as humans with one liners replacing bugs acting as humans with one liners

Fail
The bugs in the show weren’t acting as humans. Sure they talked, but they were otherwise depicting species appropriate behaviors. The same can not be said for the “animals” in Zootopia. The characters in Zootopia are animals in appearance only.

Ignorant bigotry completely disconnected from how the process has ever actually worked.
Except it’s not. WDI has been gutted. Most important engineering and design functions are subbed out. Remember Gensler? WDI is more construction management now than anything if it even does that in any fashion.

All that’s left is the public facing portion that needs to look appropriate.

All you have to do is look at their social media, you tell me what you see there.

Exactly which is why it doesn’t fit. It fits only on the most surface level. WDW used to be better than that. Now they don’t care.

As far as politics I’m already seeing debates on X about this being a woke show or something… honestly don’t think that’s the issue but I do kind of see why Disney makes everything so bland and boring now. They want to avoid any risk of even possibly offending anyone in any possible way. But this has failed because people will always complain no matter what they do. So better to just take risks and make interesting attractions rather than this slop.

I don’t see how the show is in any way woke or political. It’s just terrible.

It’s a bunch of marketing people that got together and made a 10 minute show that they thought would be appealing to tweens and forgot about everyone else, they did it for the same core demographic as the movie.

Aren’t humans acting as animals acting as humans, Furries?
Unless they’ve got animal fur growing from their skin or are wearing fur skins or coats. Then they’d be considered furry. Otherwise they’re just skin and hair atop the head and well.. elsewhere. But acting like an animal doesn’t neccesarily make them “furry”, just means they’re acting or playing pretend lol

Disney has developed a “bad rep” on this kinda thing recently.

And I don’t really disagree with a lot of what they have tried…they have failed on it…which is on them…but I don’t blame the attempt

The problem is their direction doesn’t match the chaos outside their gates in the current climate
