First we had Bear Butt, then we had Donald Butt, and now Sheep Butt.

I can't lie I do like this part of the show.
The end or the butt? hehe

On a side note, this is definitely striking me as a solid C grade product. Completely boring. Completely good for very little kids. Completely useful for selling plush and zootopia merch. A complete reason to skip this attraction unless you can't find any other good attractions and even seeing actual animals is getting boring.

So I just watched footage of this, and uh...

That sure was Animal Kingdom's first post-Joe Rohde project, eh?

Was he even a "Creative consultant" on this like how he's supposedly been for Tropical Americas?
It’s glaring, right?

Joe has no real input anymore, they just occasionally parade him around so it looks like he does. Also avoids having him put the company on blast using his social media following.

"Ah, sheep" got a chuckle out of me.

Haven’t seen ITTBAB since 2012, despite going to the parks every year or so.

I went into this with an open mind.

Woof. It’s not very good, is it? Maybe it’s better in person? I hope?

I mean what it’s replacing didn’t fit any better than this does so maybe this is the first replacement we can all agree is just a lateral movement.

I didn't think I would be a big hater of this, just kind of neutral towards the whole concept. But wow I actively disliked that entire show, from plot to pacing, it didn't feel like any of it worked... hope this connects for some ppl but it's not for me
It was designed by and for the Tik Tok generation...where the viewers attention span is about 5 seconds, then on to the next screen...and so on and so forth.

I bet anyone with ADHD will love it, but for anyone else, it's a visual nightmare.

Yes
Y'all have forgotten the important thing: They haven't corrected the distance between the exit and the closest location that you can purchase your own plush version of every character from the attraction! Just think of all those potential transactions that will be lost as guests exit the Discovery Island trails and are not dumped into the Discovery Outpost!

It also jumps all over the place. I guess it speaks to the trend of the current young generation not being able to focus for long because of TikTok and all that. Which has a lot of other implications outside of Disney, (I’m hearing the Gen Alpha is struggling in school in many ways) but this is an example of catering to it I guess.

Perhaps part of the problem are some of the younger imagineers too who may also live on social media. It’s sadly the world we live in today.

It's so schizophrenic that I'm actually not entirely sure how I feel about it? It looks like the 3D, effects, and animatronics might be stronger, but it also really relies on you already knowing the characters and their roles because it doesn't organically introduce anything. It also definitely doesn't thread the needle it needed to in order for it to feel like it kind of fit in this park specifically, but that's also why I'm incredibly thankful the whole affair is out of sight rather than taking over part of Dinoland.
