DAK “Zootopia” is being created for the Tree of Life theater

We knew the hardliners weren’t going to like this from the start.

Disney was looking to specifically cater to a younger audience. Granted I haven’t seen this show but I’m guessing the tone is gonna be similar to other attractions geared towards children.

No question that ITTAB was outdated and not meeting the mark that Disney has set for attractions internally.

I prefer having Zootopia represented at a smaller venue like this versus a whole entire land with one ride.

I think this show is “fine” but I would have loved to had the ride and land. Maybe even throw this show in the land.

It’s fine. But it’s not amazing. Will it win over the new generation? Will they develop nostalgia and a lifelong love of Disney over things like this? I don’t know. It doesn’t feel very dissimilar to something they could watch on Disney+ or YouTube.

Disney is as of late operating mostly on nostalgia and relying on that, but that will go away as the other generations age and inevitably are gone someday. They are not trying as hard as they used to. No one looks at things like this and thinks wow. Amazing. Instant classic. Have to go now. And someday that will come back to bite them if they keep delivering one mediocre experience after another.

I didn't think I would be a big hater of this, just kind of neutral towards the whole concept. But wow I actively disliked that entire show, from plot to pacing, it didn't feel like any of it worked... hope this connects for some ppl but it's not for me

I had a very similar reaction, it felt like a 20 min or less episode of a spinoff of a spinoff of a disney movie that you'd watch on Disney Channel

It is strange that they seem to be implying that we are IN Zootopia watching this, with Clawhauser and Flash in the audience with us (and the Tree of Life being retconned in with the posters in the queue).

I get that not everything has to be an amazing E ticket but this is a park with little to do as it is so every attraction needs to pull its weight and impress IMO.

Everyone? Nope, not at all. That’s 100% on parents. Your kid doesn’t like the dark or “scary” bugs? Skip the attraction. Do you put them on a thrill ride just because they’re tall enough? No, you know your kid and try to make the best decision. If not, the worst thing that might happen is you learn what they really like. Parenting 101.

Your hatred of ITTBAB is clear, we get it. But at the end of the day, Zootopia neither fits better nor is it more memorable. It’s nice to have something new, but we better all hope it doesn’t make a 25+ year run like its predecessor.
