The new show is in active development.I still think the Laugh Floor is just being transferred to a bigger venue and they can do a new attraction for TL down the line..
It will not be Laugh Floor at the old MV3D theater.

I mean what it’s replacing didn’t fit any better than this does so maybe this is the first replacement we can all agree is just a lateral movement. It very well may be. That doesn't mean it belongs in Disney's Animal Kingdom or fit it's mission statement although of course that likely won't matter anymore in a few years time.
I would strongly disagree with that.I mean what it’s replacing didn’t fit any better than this does so maybe this is the first replacement we can all agree is just a lateral movement.

I think it fit into the park better as well. But since the content traumatized me so much as a kid, I can’t say I’ll miss it.ITTBAB was about the importance of role of bugs in our lives. The positive things they do for society. So in a sense it did absolutely fit into the park.
We usually agree on a lot of things, but I think it is a good replacement. Bugs must have had fewer and fewer visitors. However, this is a show with a message at least, that would be a positive thing with children. I don't believe that they looked like monsters, they looked like animals, just talking ones. I believe this park is called Animal Kingdom and even though they are not as down to earth basic as Bugs were, it is still a better connection with the theme than any other IP they could have put there. Of course, as usual, all the adults will only be happy when all the attractions that are for kids are eliminated.Who would waste their time with those two nobody’s?
Does the one still write nasty emails/engage in Twitter fights with customers?
Atleast this person is gonna be happy
Any time WDI uses the same formula over and over and over again, It gets tiresome.I'm getting kind of sick of the "[insert IP]-ified versions of things" trope in new Disney rides. The Muppets movie posters were funny when they were first made, but it's getting kind of old.
Yeah I didn’t support people being “more dumb” and acting like children in 1998 and that’s only been strengthened sinceWe usually agree on a lot of things, but I think it is a good replacement. Once again I will remind everyone that most of the visitors to that attraction will be people with children, so even though it doesn't fit with our "adult" sensibilities, it has an audience that aren't as likely now to wet their pants during the show. And they will leave wanting at least one of the "plushies".
Bugs life was obviously beyond the reach of many adults too that didn't get the message about how important how important bugs are to our survival, but believe me that message wasn't implanted in the minds of a child either. All they saw were scary bugs that their mothers screamed to their fathers to hurry up and kill. As most of the edutainment projects ended up, the effort was not sinking in to the audiences, this at least might help with the Friendship message it sends. Probably not, but we can dream can't we?

Again though, Zootopia is directed at children. Disney doesn't always insist the adults act like children, that is what adult people are doing, not all, but many. I believe that is was my inner child that made me spend so many years as a fan of the parks, no matter what age the attractions were aimed toward. Now my inner child is getting as old as am and neither of us are as excitable as we once were.Yeah I didn’t support people being “more dumb” and acting like children in 1998 and that’s only been strengthened since
But to be clear…I was more commenting on how overall the show appears to be a significant WDI downgrade overall…to undoubtedly save costs in a cheap IP push. Not really zootopia as the subject.
First off, if anyone was truly traumatized by ITTBAG, holy pizza wrapped in a tortilla, you've led a cushy life.
It did that by… scaring kids with bugs?ITTBAB was about the importance of role of bugs in our lives. The positive things they do for society. So in a sense it did absolutely fit into the park.
Yes, exactly. And to be clear, I'm by no means downplaying actual trauma. It's a terrible cross to bear. But as you said, being momentarily frightened by a theme park experience is not traumatic, and acting as though it is seems pathological and lessens how unendingly difficult simply existing in our world can be for people who have truly suffered in life. I'm terrified of heights and recently went paragliding in the Swiss Alps. I was so scared at first, I am honestly surprised I didn't wet myself. I loved it. By the end, I was grinning ear to ear. Theme parks, even Disney parks, are often about experiencing things that might otherwise be terrifying in an incredibly safe way. That's sort of a big part of the whole thing.Thank you; I'm so sick of that word being thrown around constantly. You were scared, you didn't want to do it again, maybe you had a nightmare. I'm sorry, that's normal existence. It's not actually a big deal.
If anyone got anything close to traumatized, they had a previously existing problem.
