If the queue is going to be long, as I expect it will be for the next many years, this cover makes sense and will be welcomed. I assume it we some sort of canvas sail type cover that they hang in the structure. I also appreciate that its low enough into the natural canopy it does not block the photic of the ToL form across the river in Asia / Africa.
Isn't this structure at the exit of the theatre?

I don’t think we’ll ever see a DAK/Joe Rohde situation again with the dedication and influence one person has had on a theme park. It’s a shame that Disney let him walk.

The lake Nona debacle seems to have been the inflection point. But we also must acknowledge he is 70 and probably would have done a swan-song after lighthouse point or this 2027 project into consultant roles or retirement.

At least the company gave him the legend award and left things on better terms.

The company does need to do a better job at fostering younger talent.

You are stripping out his own autonomy in the decision. He is also allowed to retire on his own terms.
Of course he’s allowed. But we know what happened to him and Baxter.

It’s actually incredibly impressive that someone as opinionated politically and otherwise as Joe survived as long as he did and exited with enough grace that he is brought back in to consult.

He was recently in Africa - the guy isn’t slowing down either!

Exactly. Unlike a certain other elder baby boomer in the company that you are alluding to (and I know many of them in real life, physicians are as bad as executives)… Joe has very obvious and definable hobbies and other interests. I don’t think he is the type that didn’t want to retire because his entire life was his job.

That’s all I meant by the comment, Joe probably would be retiring / retired by now even without Chapek / Nona.

For some reason we only identify imagineers as being incapable of retirement while similarly aged directors like Musker and Clements exited even before Joe.

Full Availability Remains for Zootopia: Better Zoogether! Annual Passholder Previews

This is giving me vibes of the tron store.

I still honestly feel like this is way too furry adjacent for my liking so I will avoid this fur pile. I will eventually see it but only when I got nothing better to do while there.

I mean ... why wouldn't availability remain? Because of its short length, doesn't the show have the theoretical capacity to handle, like, 80-90% of total average AK guests each day, meaning it should be able to really easily handle a very limited subset of visitors during previews?
The show capacity is going to be controlled by the Virtual Queue, and not the park reservations. Based on previous AP previews, the host park has closed to passholder reservations, and that has occurred in parks with a lot more capacity than DAK. So I'm a little surprised it's still available.
