Soarin’ Across America to replace Soarin’ Around the World for Nation’s 250th Birthday

Feels like even though the other parks are getting the big additions, Epcot is having the budget to continue the smaller changes. Full new Test Track, new Soarin’, and improvements to Remys and Frozen all pretty fast. I do wish some of the other parks could get these updates especially with the screen attractions. Tron Ares should be a permanent Halloween offering imo, Space Mountain could get its update, Update Philharmagic to get some randomized scenes (stretch but it could be so fun) If we get a few years in the interim of Disney updating all of their attractions like this, I would be very pleased

A very similar attraction exists in Pigeon Forge as Soar America from the same manufacturer, Dynamic Attractions. Disney will likely have different scenes, but if you'd like an idea what Soar America looks like I'll drop a video below. It's from a national parks perspective so presumably Disney will include a broader view.

…I wish…

So do tell your opinion…I’d love to hear it.

And then when that goes off the rails we can get back to talking about the systematic dismantling of interest in Star Wars some more 😎
My opinion of what? Best skyline? Or this overlay?

The skyline of America is NYC. There's no way they put anything but that.

This attraction? I'd like it a lot more if the country was in a different situation.

So many smaller scale projects announced post D23
Anim Court, Muppets RNRC, Frozen AA's, Rat, Soarin, CoP

I imagine this trend will continue until next year's expo, which is very exciting
A great time for WDW

Only if you are coming at it from
Right off the battery and over to maybe Liberty island?

Any other approach New York is a bit of a mess

The “down town” is spread out over tens of miles…mostly because scrapers could only be built near the bototm
Of Manhattan and then in the pocket around midtown…due to rock formations

So it doesn’t “look” like a vista kinda city from the west, east and north

It's a nice attraction! Mall of America also has a similar attraction - I'm assuming it's likely also from the same manufacturer.

Because it was okay when it was a single state (not even the one this edition of the ride is located in), but make it the whole country and bad Epcot?
Soarin over California never was a thematic fit for Epcot. Soarin around the world matches the mission of the park much better although it is an inferior film to the California version.

Still, I think they’ll take their time over the American sections of the park. And maybe the fireworks will be red, white, and blue
They really don’t have “American sections”…per se…

Main Street still qualifies I guess

The other most “Americana” section in Orlando is behind a construction wall with bulldozers…currently

Isn't it sad that EVERYTHING, it seems, must be controversial nowadays? I would have thought "let's look at many of the beautiful natural settings in America to celebrate her 250th" would have been acceptable by everyone, but somehow I was wrong. I do not envy the WDI team tasked with choosing locations to film. I would personally avoid cities other than D.C. We have more than enough disparate biomes to fill 4 minutes.
