News Disney Lakeshore Lodge (Project 89 - Development near Fort Wilderness)

I would sort of love it if the pool area was called "River Country" The pool area here has great potential if not budget cut or value engineered to death.
This was a no brainer to name the whole resort that. It’s a much better name than Lakeshore Lodge. Disneys River Country Resort makes too much sense so they obviously needed to choose something else.

.....I meant I am excited for this pool area as long as the project gets the full funding it needs. I think the jury is still out until it’s all finished.
The jury was dismissed a long time ago. The plans aren’t changing. Lazy river, main pool, quiet pool, and splash pad/“interactive water play area”. Same as I posted many, many months ago.

Thanks because I’ve been following this project and you have some great info!

There is a slide planned:

@HauntedPirate - do you know anything about the new/existing boat launches? I'm just assuming they add a boat launch at Lakeshore and add a stop at Lakeshore.

New Blue Launch: FW-Lakeshore-WL-Contemporary?
I know only that they are building a new boat launch for LL (you can see the outline of it in the latest overhead pics). Operationally I defer to others for information.

I have seen the old discovery island riverboat brought out from time to time during peak season. I agree that the one extra boat will not be enough to move the amount of guests staying there. The mornings would definitely need a specific route to each resort. At night I could see one route from MK stopping at each of the three resort to just keep the line moving.

ETA apparently this was an operational need and not the new standard procedure.

Other site reporting that WL/FW to MK is now one shared route, change due to the amount of people taking strollers and ECVs that cannot fit on the smaller boats

Dedicated Skyway? Train? Sadly it will probably just be a few more buses, but fr a resort of this size it should be something else. they need another pair of the big boats they use to bring guests from TTC to MK... at the least...

Not sure why you'd think there would be any other options than buses and boats for a resort at this location. Your other suggestions are not anywhere in the realm of realistic.
