October 2025 Price Increases

We don't ask what makes economic and logistical sense for others, we all decide for ourselves based on our circumstances and preferences. The insanity abounds with some arguing that we should adopt viewpoints and habits based on their situation and values.
To be fair that’s only the people who know everything.

I think we have a lot of people on all sides of discussion who forget to put the "In my opinion" or "To me" or "I think" in their messages around here. I often wonder if it's just a conversational oversight or intentional.*

It's a shame there's no way to have a dinner-table conversation online.

Reading all of this back-and-forth on here sometimes feels like I'm looking over court records the way we all sometimes seize on certain things and I have to imagine that would hardly ever happen during in-person conversation, even when disagreeing.

*obviously body language and voice tone can communicate a lot not covered by literal words and I suspect we assume others understand how we mean it when we type it while we ourselves often don't understand how other people mean it when they type it and end up butt-hurt as a result.

That’s a very kind way of looking at it.

Well… it’s a discussion board. Shouldn’t they be assumed?

With the AP’s - I don’t love how much they have increased but i still see the value especially when I look at the price of a day ticket.

But I just bought a membership to the Henry Ford for $100 - do I think Disney world is 16 times better? Not really.

I try to employ empathy whenever possible in my every-day life.

I've noticed I'm awful at doing it online though and I've spent a lot of time reflecting on why that might be.

I find myself screwing up and getting senselessly aggressive or defensive all the time but I try to learn and do better which is all I think any of us really can do.

Just try not to judge me too harsh next time you see one of my posts and I forgot the "in my opinion" - it was definitely a conversational oversight. ;)

I wasn’t referring to people who forget to say “in my opinion.”

Should be but I don't think it is or I imagine we'd all be more friendly to each other with fewer "heated" debates.

I mean, I know I'm not as much of an a-hole in real life as I come across on here. I have to imagine the rest of you aren't either... In person, I still use three paragraphs to say what someone else would say in two sentences, though so there's that. 🤷‍♂️

A-holes don’t use footnotes. At least not in discussion forums 😉

It would be vary boring here otherwise..... In my opinion ;)

There is probably many things but Photopass was included for free as part of the AP.
Ok that’s a legit complaint for sure. And a silly thing to charge extra for - since it’s all digital.

I remembered getting some free back in that time - but I couldn’t remember if it was included or it was some sort of bonus during a limited time event

Bolded is the issue. The amount they charge for APS now is not worth the cost. There is no way you can tell me is worth 10x more than a Dollywood season pass.
