October 2025 Price Increases

It's still a ridiculous price and not worth it.
This is just a stupid statement.

Leaving aside personal opinion, there is a mathematical unequivocal point where paying for an AP is cheaper than paying per day. That's not taking anything else into account. Maybe you don't go enough for that, and that's ok. But enough people DO that it saves them money to buy the AP's. And enough people find value in them for their own reasons that they continue to be sold and bought.

30/4 is 7.5 times. So if that family of four went for two weeks during the year, they’d save money. And with the AP discount, my room is rarely over $150 a night at any all star. So we’ll say $2000 for your stay.

Obviously it’s expensive, but it’s not as ludicrous as you make it out to be.

I don't stay at All Stars and I don't pack a lunch for the parks. Always gone 7 to 8 times a year and stayed 3 or 4 nights a pop. So yeah. Thats about what it would run unless I curb the way I visit. Which I have.

So $1850 for IncrediPass. Family of 4 = $7400. To get good value for that you would need to visit a minimum of 30 times and your average per person/per visit cost would be ~$60.

But if you stayed on property for those times at an average of $350 night you can add $10,500 to that. And then let's assume QS and snacks at about $80 per person for day. So another $2400 per person.

$27,500 for a family of 4. Seems reasonable enough. My family can live great for a month a do all things Disney. And then for the next 11 months we can live in a van down by the river.
Bob hopes everyone will get a second mortgage on their house and use their Disney visa to spend on their vacation and then pay it off for the next 157 years

Sure for 2 weeks it's not that ludicrous. But who it's using 2 weeks vacation to visit Disney? Most people are likely to spend a weeks vacation for Disney at most.

Then why would those people consider an AP? Again, if someone is planning to do that (perhaps they’ve signed up for multiple rundisney events), then it makes sense. I’m not arguing whether it’s expensive, I’m just saying who justifies it. There are also people like myself who don’t work Fridays and it’s easy to catch a $50 flight down for a fun weekend every other month.

And Pop typically runs, with an AP discount, around $225 per night, if not less. I’m not sure where $350 per night is coming from at any value resort.

That's fair. Personally I find it hard to spend that much money on one place each year. There is so much out there, that for $5400 for the 3 of us can visit with that money.

And those who live 2 hours away and visit for the different seasonal events.

I used that 40% at Boatwrights and it was bad.
But it would have been even worse if it cost ya 40% more! Sorry it was a bad experience though - I’ve never eaten there.
I used it at Tiffins. Now THAT was an awesome deal!
Same! - I’ve always wanted to eat at Tiffins but could never talk myself into it. I had such a wonderful experience.

We don't ask what makes economic and logistical sense for others, we all decide for ourselves based on our circumstances and preferences. The insanity abounds with some arguing that we should adopt viewpoints and habits based on their situation and values.
