Trip Report Our Wicked Halloween 2025

Well, we’ve been home for just over a week now and unfortunately bought Covid back with us. We were quite poorly but can now start our trip report.
Just to remind you, we are sisters from the UK. I am Gillian(G) and Christine (C), both retired and big Disney fans.
We flew over on 3rd September with 5 nights at Universals Endless Summer Surfside again ( a favourite ) followed by 14 nights at the Wilderness Lodge for the 1st time.
Our flight over was as usual, long but comfy. We always find that Virgin Atlantic really look after you. With a great entertainment system and mostly edible food, including ice lollies , you can’t go wrong.

Arrival at MCO went much faster than usual within 45 minutes we had cleared immigration, claimed our luggage and had booked an Uber to our 1st hotel, arriving 25 minutes later. What’s even better is that we were upgraded to a 2 bedroom room with a kitchen area. A first for us.
image0.jpeg

Our view is the sister hotel,, Universals Dockside. These are considered budget hotels but seem a higher standard than that.
During our 5 nights here, we only did 1 day at Universal Studios as we did most of it 2 years ago. Even the new Epic Universe didn’t interest us as it’s mostly rollercoasters, which we don’t do. It was lovely to start our vacation so laid back. Our one day at the original Universal park was great.
image0.jpeg

Wasn’t so crowded.
image0.jpeg

Didn’t go on the Mummy ride, but met one in the shop🫨

Looks a bit different from the real thing

Always a favourite

Named after us🤣
It was great to go on our fave rides like ET & Minnions and the Horror Make-Up Show is a great laugh. We always love Harry Potter’s Diagon Alley too.
A brilliant place to eat is at the Hard Rock Cafe. They now take your photo as you enter.

Trying to look cool 😎

The salmon was the best we have ever had.

Wednesday 10th September
Supposed to be a pool day with an ADR at Via Napoli but the weather said otherwise, so instead made our way over to the Poly. We went by various transport which made it fun.View attachment 886786
Love this.View attachment 886787
Had a warm coffee.
Then caught the monorail to the GF, looked around the shops then monorail again to Contemporary for a Veggie flatbread to share for lunch.
Had a rest back in our room before getting the bus over to Epcot for our 5.25pm ADR at Via Napoli another 1st for us. By the time we had been shopping in Creations and made our way to Italy in the Showcase we thought we’d try to get in earlier. Success and it was brilliant, both service and the food.View attachment 886789
Filet Mignon for me and Chicken Carbonara for CView attachment 886790
We did share the Tiramisu
When we came out of the restaurant, rain was already coming down but then it turned into a monsoon. Like everyone else we got stuck under a large umbrella for quite a while. After managing to buy two rain ponchos we made our way out of the park.View attachment 886791
We met this little fellow at the bus stop. As Dug would say “squirrel “ 🤣

Thursday 11th September
Thought we would spend some time at Animal Kingdom this morning. Enjoyed looking around the many shops and taking in the great atmosphere. View attachment 886792
Always like a selfie.
Managed to ride Naavi River this time then went onto see the first showing of Lion King.View attachment 886793
Absolutely love this show and is my favourite Disney film.View attachment 886794
Just had to get this one.View attachment 886795
Took this during our morning. Does anyone know the name of this lovely bird.
Definitely a Cardinal. My mom’s favorite bird. Mom passed in 2013, so now every time we see a Cardinal we say that mom is checking on us.

Had an easy day by the pool as we’re at tonight’s Halloween party.
During the boat ride over to MK, we had a massive downpour, so bad that our boat couldn’t even dock safely at first and even when we did, we couldn’t get off. When we eventually did we had to wait a while for it to calm down. Not the best start.

This was the only Halloween snack we brought. A Sally cake pop, which we found was too sweet but
still nice.
It was great to see the Cadaver Dans in action.
image0.jpeg

It was a great atmosphere with music and singing near ‘Pirates’ with a live band. We made our way round picking up our treats and then watched the ‘ Boo to you ‘ parade. It was fab.

We also bumped into Jack Sparrow, and just had to have piccy’s taken with him.

He was so in character that he mumbled just like Jack🤣

We watched the fireworks and the projections on the castle were brilliant.

Then we were thrilled to be able to meet Jack & Sally. Didn’t think we would get the chance as the wait time was so high, but as we left it until later our luck was in with very little wait time.

We thoroughly enjoyed the Halloween Party & so look forward to doing the Christmas Party next year.

Same! I’m wrecking my brain if we ever crossed you two during our exact same day stay :geek:.. I’ll have to zoom in on the pictures to see maybe some non-strangers in the background :D
Yes we were always looking out for you every time we were at Roaring Fork or the swimming pool or the boat. So sad we never met.

Spent the rest of our day by the pool until our next ADR, Whispering Canyon.View attachment 886796View attachment 886797
Whilst waiting to eat C showed her age 😂
Alison was our server and brilliant at explaining the menu.View attachment 886798View attachment 886802View attachment 886800
Everything was delicious.
Thought we‘d better go for a much needed walk after such a lovely meal and ended up here, outside Geyser Point.View attachment 886803View attachment 886804
This area quickly became our fave place to sit in the evenings.
Looks like a pretty great place to spend your evenings!

Saturday 13th September
Hollywood Studios today. First on our agenda was Disney Villains, which we really enjoyed and which is why there is no piccy’s. Afterwards we went to see Walt Disney Presents, which we found very interesting as we love a Disney history lesson. After having a wander around Star Wars Galaxy Edge,
IMG_0705.jpeg

we made our way passed Gertie, who was striking a pose.
IMG_0710.jpeg

Then past CM Liz, also striking a pose.
IMG_0713.jpeg

So ‘C’ decided to get in on the act🤣
IMG_0709.jpeg

All this whilst waiting for our next ADR. 50’s Prime Time. We tried to check in a little earlier but it was so busy.
IMG_0715.jpeg

It was as usual, a great atmosphere. We have no main meal photo but have the dessert, Apple Crumble a la Mode.
IMG_0719.jpeg

Delicious!
We wanted to go on Toy Story Mania but the wait line was too long.
IMG_0703.jpeg

We love how colourful Toy Story Land is.
We spent loads of time browsing the shops before getting back to the hotel.

Sunday 14th September
Epcot day, mostly for the food & wine festival. We thought it would be handy to purchase one of the wristlet gift cards to make it easier when buying. First stop though was the Journey of Water.
image0.jpeg

We thought it was beautiful and loved that you could interact with the water.
Then we went to the Showcase, starting at Canada. When we got to the UK we saw some of our British choccy bars and nearly fainted at the exorbitant prices, more than double & triple than what we pay at home. We then continued to walk around the Showcase. In Morocco we tried the Pistachio cake.
image0.jpeg

So yummy.
We carried on round and after perusing the big shop in Japan we arrived the American Adventures just in time to hear the Voices of Liberty a favourite of ours.

In Germany we tried a cheesy/pasta item that had way too much cheese but was still nice. (sorry no pic)
When we got to Norway we went on Frozen Ever After. We enjoyed this ride much more than we did 2 years ago.
image0.jpeg

image1.jpeg

C had to try the School Bread as so many on this forum praise it. I had the Ricecream which is delicious.
We then popped into Mexico to look around the shop, then went to the Australia stall to try the Lamb Chop, which was delish ! ‘Again no pic, sorry’
After going into the Creations shop we made our way out of the park to do a bit of pool time, but not before having our photo taken with the man himself, Walt.

Monday 15th September
Decided to go to Disney Springs today to go on a ride that we really wanted to do, which was the Aerophile balloon. Neither of us is too keen on height but we did it anyway.

As there was virtually no breeze, the whole flight was very smooth and we loved it. You may only get 8 minutes when it goes up but the views are spectacular.
Later we caught the bus to the Contempo Cafe, then walked to MK via the walkway as we both needed an All American Sundae.
