Trip Report Our Wicked Halloween 2025

Well, we’ve been home for just over a week now and unfortunately bought Covid back with us. We were quite poorly but can now start our trip report.
Just to remind you, we are sisters from the UK. I am Gillian(G) and Christine (C), both retired and big Disney fans.
We flew over on 3rd September with 5 nights at Universals Endless Summer Surfside again ( a favourite ) followed by 14 nights at the Wilderness Lodge for the 1st time.
Our flight over was as usual, long but comfy. We always find that Virgin Atlantic really look after you. With a great entertainment system and mostly edible food, including ice lollies , you can’t go wrong.

Arrival at MCO went much faster than usual within 45 minutes we had cleared immigration, claimed our luggage and had booked an Uber to our 1st hotel, arriving 25 minutes later. What’s even better is that we were upgraded to a 2 bedroom room with a kitchen area. A first for us.

Our view is the sister hotel,, Universals Dockside. These are considered budget hotels but seem a higher standard than that.
During our 5 nights here, we only did 1 day at Universal Studios as we did most of it 2 years ago. Even the new Epic Universe didn’t interest us as it’s mostly rollercoasters, which we don’t do. It was lovely to start our vacation so laid back. Our one day at the original Universal park was great.

Wasn’t so crowded.

Didn’t go on the Mummy ride, but met one in the shop🫨

Looks a bit different from the real thing

Always a favourite

Named after us🤣
It was great to go on our fave rides like ET & Minnions and the Horror Make-Up Show is a great laugh. We always love Harry Potter’s Diagon Alley too.
A brilliant place to eat is at the Hard Rock Cafe. They now take your photo as you enter.

Trying to look cool 😎

The salmon was the best we have ever had.

The Toothsome Chocolate Emporium next to Hard Rock Cafe we can highly recommend, especially for the desserts downstairs. The restaurant upstairs is pretty good too.
Universal City Walk is quite a busy place with some good restaurants. We even went to the cinema to watch the new Conjuring film, which was brilliant.

We also managed to get in plenty of pool time.

I love Toothsome!! Best chocolate martini that I have ever had to date! I love that you are getting some relaxation time in before Disney madness. Lol
We had an apple dessert which we didn’t expect to be so huge and there was no way we could have finished it. Definitely comfort food😋

Welcome, great to see that you have joined us. We so enjoyed our chats on the plane with you. Hope you didn’t catch anything from us. We hope that you will do a trip report of your own in the future as it is really good fun.

We suddenly decided to go to Disney Springs via French Quarters. “It’s Beignets for breakfast “
I suddenly noticed a couple sitting near us as fellow magicians from the forum. I went over to check and yes, I was right. We were so happy and excited to meet @pkkurz. We were able to spend a while chatting and taking photos.

What a wonderful couple. We hope you both had a great Anniversary.

We then caught the boat to Disney Springs, bringing back memories of when we were last here and then spent lots of time at Springs shopping, especially at World of Disney and Ghirardelli. Brought our favourite sandwich from Earl’s for later and we got an Uber back to Surfside to get ready for our transfer tomorrow ( Monday ) to Wilderness Lodge.
