Trip Report Our Wicked Halloween 2025

Well, we’ve been home for just over a week now and unfortunately bought Covid back with us. We were quite poorly but can now start our trip report.
Just to remind you, we are sisters from the UK. I am Gillian(G) and Christine (C), both retired and big Disney fans.
We flew over on 3rd September with 5 nights at Universals Endless Summer Surfside again ( a favourite ) followed by 14 nights at the Wilderness Lodge for the 1st time.
Our flight over was as usual, long but comfy. We always find that Virgin Atlantic really look after you. With a great entertainment system and mostly edible food, including ice lollies , you can’t go wrong.

Arrival at MCO went much faster than usual within 45 minutes we had cleared immigration, claimed our luggage and had booked an Uber to our 1st hotel, arriving 25 minutes later. What’s even better is that we were upgraded to a 2 bedroom room with a kitchen area. A first for us.

Our view is the sister hotel,, Universals Dockside. These are considered budget hotels but seem a higher standard than that.
During our 5 nights here, we only did 1 day at Universal Studios as we did most of it 2 years ago. Even the new Epic Universe didn’t interest us as it’s mostly rollercoasters, which we don’t do. It was lovely to start our vacation so laid back. Our one day at the original Universal park was great.

Wasn’t so crowded.
image0.jpeg

Didn’t go on the Mummy ride, but met one in the shop🫨

Looks a bit different from the real thing

Always a favourite

Named after us🤣
It was great to go on our fave rides like ET & Minnions and the Horror Make-Up Show is a great laugh. We always love Harry Potter’s Diagon Alley too.
A brilliant place to eat is at the Hard Rock Cafe. They now take your photo as you enter.

Trying to look cool 😎

The salmon was the best we have ever had.

Got up early enough to call our Uber at 9am and arrived at W/L around 9.30. We were checked in by Justine, who was so helpful especially with how to navigate the dining plan. We can have 1 sit down meal, a quick serve and a snack every day. We’ve never had this in the offer before so wanted to make sure we got it right. Our room wasn’t ready so we had a little look round before catching the boat to MK.View attachment 886472

Unknown to us, this piccy is where our room was going to be. Number 3002View attachment 886474
We have waited 2 years for this moment. Just so easy to get to MK.
As soon as we entered, we spotted the wonderful Dapper Dans.View attachment 886475
We made our way to the jewellery as I wanted a certain necklace that I’d previously seen. I had been given US dollars as Christmas/ Birthday presents and wanted to buy something special.View attachment 886476
The original one that I liked wasn’t available anymore but this was even better.
We first did Pirates with a 40min wait, then stayed around the Diamond Horseshoe for our first ADR at 1pm.View attachment 886477
Always a hearty meal View attachment 886479
Always a good way to finish it off.
Afterwards we headed to Haunted Mansion. We were in the queue for about 35min and as we left the stretching room the ride went down. After strolling through Fantasyland into Tomorrowland we had a ride on the peoplemover even though the walkway up wasn’t working. We needed some exercise after that lovely lunch 🤣
We then had a notification that our room was ready, so left the park. We loved our room but the patio was a great disappointment to us. Not only was it grubby looking but also you couldn’t sit out there unless you were happy to view concrete. The view standing was the lake which we loved.View attachment 886486View attachment 886488View attachment 886487
View from our room with walkway to the boat launch.
What a beautiful necklace!

Our first proper full day in MK. As it was a Halloween Party tonight it wasn’t as busy, so we managed to get on quite a few rides, which was great. We also have an ADR for the Plaza Restaurant at 1.30pm.

For once we managed to get the horse & carriage to the hub.

First time for mine train.

Loved Tiana but Splash Mountain will always hold a special place in our hearts. ♥️

Where is the camera ??
Lunch at the Plaza was a first for us and was delicious.

Salad for me, ? Meatloaf for Christine and the Sundae’s were absolutely delicious.😋
After lunch we went into Fantasyland and went on IASW, Pooh Bear, Mickey’s Phillarmagic then later Carousel of Progress and Peoplemover ( always great for a rest ) What a great 1st day.
When we got back to our room we had a lovely surprise from Justine.

We have been made to feel so welcome.

Supposed to be a pool day with an ADR at Via Napoli but the weather said otherwise, so instead made our way over to the Poly. We went by various transport which made it fun.
image0.jpeg

Love this.
image1.jpeg

Had a warm coffee.
Then caught the monorail to the GF, looked around the shops then monorail again to Contemporary for a Veggie flatbread to share for lunch.
Had a rest back in our room before getting the bus over to Epcot for our 5.25pm ADR at Via Napoli another 1st for us. By the time we had been shopping in Creations and made our way to Italy in the Showcase we thought we’d try to get in earlier. Success and it was brilliant, both service and the food.
image0.jpeg

Filet Mignon for me and Chicken Carbonara for C
image1.jpeg

We did share the Tiramisu
When we came out of the restaurant, rain was already coming down but then it turned into a monsoon. Like everyone else we got stuck under a large umbrella for quite a while. After managing to buy two rain ponchos we made our way out of the park.
image2.jpeg

We met this little fellow at the bus stop. As Dug would say “squirrel “ 🤣

Thursday 11th September
Thought we would spend some time at Animal Kingdom this morning. Enjoyed looking around the many shops and taking in the great atmosphere.
image0.jpeg

Always like a selfie.
Managed to ride Naavi River this time then went onto see the first showing of Lion King.
image0.jpeg

Absolutely love this show and is my favourite Disney film.
image1.jpeg

Just had to get this one.
image2.jpeg

Took this during our morning. Does anyone know the name of this lovely bird.

Looks like a cardinal to me (I live in Arizona and it’s our football team’s mascot).

Everything was delicious.
Thought we‘d better go for a much needed walk after such a lovely meal and ended up here, outside Geyser Point.

This area quickly became our fave place to sit in the evenings.
