Not sure, but that would be a logical reason to cover it.
HHN guests must travel in front of the old Nickelodeon building and past the coaster to get to most of the soundstage houses this year (unless you go back the other way.) I'm no expert on coaster deconstruction, but I'd imagine that's to make sure everything stays in place and doesn't go flying.

They started constructing the replacement (churro stand) several before Rockit closed.

I want a GB presence at the parks, but I don't think this coaster project works well for it. I'm still holding out hope for a special effects stage show ala Cirque Arcanus.I dislike you right now.

If they do go forward with the F&F coaster, I would hope that is incentive to replace their other attraction.
Also, I don't mind a drift coaster...just the theme is blah and already being done in Hollywood.
