My cycle stopped 15 years ago. Prices started getting higher than we were willing to pay in 2010. Never went back. And it would have been $300-ish for my family then. Today, same number of people, same general time frame? $1600.I figure each visit is good for about five years. They have to come up with something new by then, even if only to make up for everything scrapped during an intervening pandemic. Make the cycle work for you!

Did Bob assure you that doesn’t happen? It seems some people like to posit that #2 is the case. It really, really, really bothers you that some people don't hate Disney, doesn't it?Did Bob assure you that doesn’t happen?
Or was it the fbi/postal inspector?
And you should take your game to the next level and buy into dvc instead of spending $2,000 on pop century a year…
How’s a concrete cell at riviera or a trailer in river country sound to you?![]()
The main thing is that it doesn't matter to Disney. They just keep on going. It really, really, really bothers you that some people don't hate Disney, doesn't it?
Recently uncovered recordings of Bob Iger talking to Josh D'Amaro:Disney’s sharp pencil people when MNSSHP tickets aren’t sold out well in advance of the end of September:

It’ll likely beat last year’s sell out date but not by a lot. Need that ticket revenue to make sure things look great for the next quarterly meeting.
Disney has a near endless supply of what you guys say are shills and loyal fans (I’m using the shill word because you specifically use it. Are you really thinking that people are just massively dropping off and not going to one of the most popular times in the park? I’m a first time attendee this year, is that so rare?? Things are selling out and unlike some parks, Disney isn’t vastly wayyyy overselling the events actual capacity and made it an actually “premium” eventDid Bob assure you that doesn’t happen?

What?Things are selling out and unlike some parks, Disney isn’t vastly wayyyy overselling the events actual capacity and made it an actually “premium” eventin the lower wait times and the lack of overcrowding.
Wait a minute…I thought the goal was “magic”?The goal was to sell the park twice during a single day, except for the second round everyone buys the most expensive ticket.

There are some parks that will oversell a Halloween offering like no other and then require a skip the line pass to actually get most things done without ruining your night in 2 hr+ lines during a “premium event”
I believe they meant they’re a first-time attendee of the party.Wait. So you had never been to WDW until this year, or your first ever trip is planned for sometime before the end of this year?
Yeah, this constant nonsense that Disney isn't setting an arbitrary "sell out" number is hilarious. That is LITERALLY what they are doing. What?
Event Capacity has increased steadily over the years. The only time the park is manageable is in the last 90 minutes of the event, everything prior is like a normal park experience, but with candy.
The goal was to sell the park twice during a single day, except for the second round everyone buys the most expensive ticket.
Here’s a dirty little secret, add the candy distribution lines and subtract the lightning lane factor, and you get miraculously lower wait times throughout the park, even with it packed to capacity.Wait a minute…I thought the goal was “magic”?![]()
Is there any evidence for this? I went to a lower-priced night recently and it was pretty busy (I believe it had sold out).(higher priced nights sell more tickets, of course)
