It was a strange mix to represent haves and have nots. Where does Reed Richards get his money? Grants? Is he like Bruce Wayne and builds his own gadgets?
Reed is the smartest man in the world and builds all the teams gadgets, as shown in the movie with the new space suits as and example. But he like Bruce got his money from inheritance.

No it didn't if adjusted for inflation.

Inflation Adjusted
Domestic Box Office
Fantastic Four 2025 $260,926,180
Capt American Winter Soldier $359,576,2633

Even if we don't adjust for inflation, it's domestic gross ranks 22 out of 37 Marvel movies and would need to get up to $313 million domestically to reach 21

(This year's two other MCU titles rank 29 and 30)

Fantastic Four reminds me of another Disney comic book release, Dick Tracy

That movie was one of the top 10 domestic grossing films for the year of its release, but was ultimately considered a disappointment relative to its budget and hype

I need to watch Dick Tracy. I hear it’s very underrated. Is it?
It is good but has some flaws. Component pieces (actors, set design, music) are exceptional. I envy your ability to experience it for the first time, but I wonder how much of it plays now as some of the actors were in the peak of their popularity at the time and do not have the same cultural cache now (Madonna, Hoffman, Pacino)

... or he can keep the discussion going here and respond naturally to the information you posted? So weird to tell other posters what they should post.
Interesting take, when almost everyone on this site tells others what they should and shouldn't post especially when responding to something they don't like.

Also its not a bad take, its been refuted a bunch of times about using inflation adjusted numbers, it ends up not being valid because they aren't used correctly. They are just used here by many posters just to try to take down another movie because they don't like it for whatever reason, as in "see it didn't do better than this movie when adjusted for inflation". A video was put up a month ago or so in the box office thread on why using inflation adjusted numbers as comparison is ridiculous and shouldn't be used anymore for such purposes.
