Where in the World Isn't Bob Saget?

Sorry I meant washer, he detergent only. I was telling my kid to putwash in the dryer while typing. LONGGGGGGGGG morning
You are forgiven! Problem is that I'm not sure my now feeble brain can recover from the dent this whole conversation put in it. Follow up question... are we speaking liquid soap or powdered? I use a front loading and currently use the Tide pods (when I'm not snacking on them, they look so tasty) and I just throw them in before I put the laundry in. Isn't that possible with a less contained type of detergent as well?
We sure do get into some strange topics here in Saget, don't we?

Liquid, we have very hard water, and I'm cheap, those pods are expensive.

Megan is away up in Dallas for a bachelorette party weekend for one of her dear friends from high school choir.
We met Daniel, Emmy and Audrey at our neighborhood pool, literally a block away, for some morning swimming around 9:30a today…!!! :)
We actually meet all of them often there during summer, but I don’t post about it much, as it would be repetitive.
Anyway, although the regular schedule of being open all week long through Labor Day will end, the pool will still be open on weekends through October, weather permitting…!!! :geek:
Some pics from this morning below, with it being about 90 degrees already…!!!

Emmy and Audrey both have good arms, like their Pappy ;), with Emmy tossing a ball to me…!!!!!:hilarious:;)

About the pods, I read that they can eventually clog up plumbing. Guess the plastic doesn't always completely break down. Regardless, I don't buy them, due to the cost.
I use the pods in both and even though they are expensive I find that they manage to remove stains far better than anything else I ever used. Over the last 5 years I have had one incident of one pod not dissolving completely when it got stuck in an area that didn't have as much water. But I don't have to measure anything and although a little on the extravagant side, I decided that I would opt to make my life just a little bit better. I do have an occasional problem with the dishwasher, but I'm waiting for the landlords to either fix the top circulator (which doesn't move and hasn't for a year now) or replace the machine. I recently bought one of the giant buckets of Cascade platinum pods 92 count and I only use one around one or two times a week. That's almost a years supply. The joy of single living, it's mostly rinse and hold.

I am so far behind!
Might be able to catch up tomorrow hopefully. One last trip (solo this time) to Millbrook tomorrow.

Mike and Ski tried very hard to squish the last of it into the pickup truck tonight, but I put my foot down and made them unload some stuff, as they would have gotten us killed or at the very least, pulled over by the cops for having an unsecured load.

If I time it right, I can catch the whole Jays game on the radio, as the few things I need to grab shouldn’t take more than 10-15 mins to load. Sadly, it will be a 4+ hour round trip drive to do it. Better than taking a permanent dirt nap though.

In better news, I signed my new work contact today. I am pleased. Start date - September 15th. Pleased about that too.

Should finally be home by 1:30 tonight (this morning?!?), and back on the road by 11:00. Ish.

@Figgy1 - did you get sprung from the sling yet?
Thank you for asking. YES!!!!!!!!!!!!! Wednesday!!!!!!!!!!!! That said I did wear it at the farm market today because I wasn't lifting 50 pound containers of anything and I know I would have if I wasn't wearing it I'd probably try. Today was potatoes, tomatoes, spaghetti squash ok that was only 45 pounds(boys weighed it when we got home) lol, 25 pounds of peppers and my usual assorted haul, funny I only needed 3 dozen eggs this week. I'll probably also wear it at Shoprite Monday because Tuttorosso is on sale for 12 for a case of 12, 4 cases of diced tomatoes and this week's canning should get me through to next year's tomato season, maybe one more canning session if I need a lot of tomatoes at some point over the next few weeks
@Tiggerish Shoprite's Can Can on tomatoes starts today

Can you not use powder with hard water? I have no idea how hard our water is here, but I can't use liquid detergent because E is allergic to it. There was a fantastic sale on Robijn (Downy in the US) and so I got some detergent and softener in the same scent, but E got a nasty rash. I ran out of the detergent and went back to the powder and she was fine. The next time there was a sale, I picked up more of the detergent, she broke out again. After about the third time, I made the connection that every time I used liquid detergent, she broke out. She's fine with the softener, but not the liquid detergent. I had the same thing when I was younger, but just any detergent other than arm and hammer. My mom couldn't use tide. She bought it on a massive sale once and I broke out. We are just overly sensitive to detergent, I guess.

This is actually true but not really. As a DIY tradesman, I subscribe to a lot of trades websites. I have seen the myth debunked many times, but I also saw a study posted that claimed it would take close to 11,000 years to clog a regular 2 inch PVC pipe. And by clog, I mean slow the flow at all. The truth is that the pods were designed to break down in a regular washer. The regular washers now are low flow. You get less water in a regular load. The lie is that it can clog your pipes. The residual plastic spins out of the machine and into your pipes where there is a ton of water to sweep it through out to the sewer.
About the pods, I read that they can eventually clog up plumbing. Guess the plastic doesn't always completely break down. Regardless, I don't buy them, due to the cost.

YUP, don't use them in the dishwasher either
