New Enhancements, Dining Options Coming to Disney’s BoardWalk

The rent must be unbelievably high!
Which means that perhaps Disney should take over the open spots and add a few more dining/quick serve/ entertainment venues to support their park and resort... It is baffling to me why they don't do that....or bring in a vendor and keep the rent artificially low so that they can have options for the guests that are more or less captive on the property.... A lively popular shopping and dining venue keeps guests on site... a mostly vacant shopping and dining venue would tends to push guests to other areas/other places off-property.
If the choices left are signature dining, an overcrowded Italian restaurant that is difficult to get into, a mediocre deli serving pre-made sandwiches or an incredibly overpriced Bakery/cafe, I am going to give it all a hard pass.

Disney wants to be the landlord and just collect rent both inside the parks and outside the parks.

They need a proper quick service place.
I think they feel like their Deli is the quick serve place, but it is abysmal... Limited choices and a product nobody cares about. What they really need is a huge vibrant 1940s Jersey Shore Diner open until Midnight servong breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Throw in some authentic Jersey shore food... Pork roll... Boardwalk fare.... It would be a huge hit, and a great place to go when the park closes.....rather than order crappy pizza delivery....and it would fit the location beautfully. they currently have Big River and the Piano bar open....not to mention the Atlantic Dance Hall...

I really do think they don’t want to create a tourist magnet that late.

They should at least open the former seating area of Big River Grill so people can eat inside and there are more tables available.

They love converting things into seating areas everywhere else.
