DAK 'Encanto' and 'Indiana Jones'-themed experiences at Animal Kingdom

I mean, ITTBAB, Zootopia: Better Zoogether, and the Encanto attraction are from the Bug's Life, Zootopia, and Encanto respectively and those movies aren't hyper realistic by any means, so LK and its art style being in AK isn't a problem at all
Notice that 2 out of the three you listed actually are considered inappropriate for DAK by it's creator no less.

I don’t believe they do that for DLP anymore.
I'm hopeful it's green-lit STAT for AK, and that wherever it is built in Africa isn't that crazy of a Trek when walking between it / Kali River Rapids. Having the ability to hit 2 water rides B2B a las Toon Lagoon/Jurassic is extremely underrated.

Do we think just transposing the exact same ride is best for AK, or would a more family friendly Lion King ride be better for AK?

I know they are getting Encanto which will be a great addition, but still a pretty high % of rides at AK are a bit thrilling/have height restrictions/not everyone wants to do (FoP, Everest, Kali, Indy/Dino)

There is an older Lion King proposal custom designed for DAK that I believe is a traditional boat ride without drops

I don't see them building that one anymore though, now that the DLP one exists

Unique E-Tickets are overrated when the ride/theming is top-notch. But knowing How they typically handle this, exclusivity for 5 years seems probable.

Exclusivity terms are not typical and not something that Paris really utilized. It’s Hong Kong Disneyland that sought the most exclusivity.

Was it actually an older plan? I thought it was just a less impressive scaled down version with only interior scenes. I also think it did have drops, but smaller ones ala Pirates or Frozen instead of a big one. Think it was said to be a D ticket instead of Paris' E (I assume it's an E anyway).

It'll look kind of bad if they give Orlando the short end of the stick on a potential Lion King ride with a lesser variant. Especially if it goes in AK.

I don't know what the officially designated expansion pads for Africa are, if it actually has any. I came across an old pre-Pandora article from WDWmagic that seemed to outline a large portion of the areas outside the "berm".

At the moment these areas are occupied by backstage buildings, a parking lot including tram storage and retention waterways that would likely need to be relocated if they wanted to use this plot of land. It may also encroach on some of the forest/swampy areas that i'm unsure are suitable for development. The Lion King show building itself is massive, something around 138,000 square feet based off the blueprints. Not even including the surrounding miniland. I've overlayed a rough estimate of the land onto an area marked in the above link. They could conceivably connect it via a walkway from the Lion King Festival show building (would need to pass over or under a service road). I don't have any clue if this placement is feasible though.

If you moved LK of to the right and connected it with the guist path you could just re route the service road around LK.

A Bugs life was a story about bugs. They didn't wear clothes, take trains, and have jobs. Zootopia is basically furries
There’s definitely a continuum. They definitely acted like humans. They organized a circus. Look at how Flik decides to explore:

Obviously, Zootopia takes this much further.

While DAK is arguably the best-themed theme park at WDW this century, it’s never been a perfect slam dunk. At least, even with Tropical Americas, they are making some effort to stick to the park’s vision. Poor Epcot progressively moves away from its original vision even if, sporadically, an Imagineer tries to make one project fit.

??? I didn’t know about bugs inventing and wearing backpacks and hats. Grasshoppers being authoritarian and sadistic regimes willing to kill their own to prove a point.

a circus? Building a giant bird plane? Come on man, this is not a story about bugs. It’s a human story about an underdog rising up

This would require the Club 33 lounge to be demoed and moved elsewhere. We all know money talks at Disney and that Club 33 Membership pays big time. Nice thoughts though.

As J4546 said, the Club 33 lounge isn't particularly close to the Festival theater. There's nearly 150 feet of distance between the two. Most walkways at Animal Kingdom are typically 20-30 feet wide at most (except for hubs and the entrance area). So there's a ton of space to create entries into the miniland. These entry points and routes may need some minor alterations, but that's standard practice when adapting clones of rides/lands to different parks.

My initial sketch wasn't even accurate to the entry walkways of the original Paris blueprints anyway, I was fiddling with different placements. There are two entrances at Paris, I placed mine in the middle between those two. This is more accurate to the entry walkways in the original blueprint-

The parts of the land that would encroach upon the lounge if left unaltered are basically just the grassy areas at the lower right edge of the land. I would imagine that these green areas could be reduced in size or reshaped if needed.

Incidentally, the rectangular gray building on the right side of this plan is a restroom. I'm unsure if this would be necessary at AK given the close proximity of the existing restroom next to Club 33. There's also another restroom a bit further away at Tusker House. Not sure what regulations are required regarding restroom proximity to attractions or whatnot. If there was a dining venue then it would be necessary, but there doesn't seem to be one in the Paris blueprints. Just a small gift shop above the restroom.

The more I think about this I wonder if any future addition to this park would be the Paris LK ride. If we learned anything from last year’s D23 event, there really weren’t any attractions that were cloned. Everything was unique. Putting a copy of the Adventure World LK flume ride would really go against that grain.

I don’t know if making new rides as opposed to copying rides from other parks was some new thing that Josh is pushing, but I would rather they add new, unique attractions to DAK. But I’ll still take the LK flume ride if they build it of course 🤗.

Definitely feels like more original, that are designed to fit the area they go in (at least as best as the imagineers can after being dictated an IP)

I think I would love if they leveraged what they are doing in Paris - the storyline, the animatronics, etc but made it more like a pirates ride vs a thrilling flume ride for AK

So like copy+ paste special vs just copy + paste
