i wonder if they'll keep the same vehicle pacing throughout the route, like they did with test track 3.0, and make show scenes fit the pacing vs the reverse.

So Disney really does have a sense of humor. 😂🦖🦕

Kind of irritates me that they have let this attraction languish and also have had little to no merch over the years and now that it's dying they want to come out with cool merch. I got the water bottle at least. I wanted the pin but it was gone when I was there.

Poor Dinosaur. An attraction and land that at least made a ton of sense for the park to be replaced with Indy which probably will not make sense and Encanto which definitely doesn't. They could have just improved this area and attraction instead of just destroying it and honestly hope they regret it someday. Recent projects being way below (previous) standard is not inspiring a lot of confidence here.

It's called "Tropical Americas", not "Central America". Encanto takes place in Colombia which is in South America. Indy doesn't have to be in Colombia but can be located in either Central or South America. I find it interesting people lament the replacement of Dinoland when no one was really thrilled with it when it was there. The theme had potential. But its execution was wanting. I think Tropical Americas is a good replacement.

I do too, but now very concerned for the actual attractions and content and direction after the zootopia slop.

That's all well and good, but neither of those properties are about animals. They're about humans. So they don't belong in ANIMAL Kingdom.

We wouldn't be complaining if they were leaving Dinosaur and the Boneyard alone and replacing Dino-Rama with better attractions about dinosaurs. It's the removal of dinosaurs from the park entirely that annoys us. Why is that so hard to understand?

It is interesting because I believe there was another park designed to showcase the human culture of the various regions of the world I believe it was Something Center?

Good question but my guess would be no since it’s likely needed to change here being a completely different theme. I imagine all of the vehicles’ movements will be adjusted to interact with the new show scenes, only the track itself will need to remain the same.

TT really only has the speed as a variable so it was probably easier to keep that consistent as any adjustments would affect the capacity.

I'm guessing they're probably going to let it die in this shape, the new IJ ride coming here is probably going to replace several of the effects and animatronics in this, so they'll probably keep it like that as they're going to have to either remove it anyways seeing as the ride will close in 95 days from now
It’s going to be a complete gut job, right?

Just the props and such..The track layout will stay as is..
Agreed. I was referring to this quote above:

“the new IJ ride coming here is probably going to replace several of the effects and animatronics in this…”

I’m assuming very little will be salvaged outside of the ride vehicles and track. Just wouldn’t make sense especially given the condition much of it is in, plus the complete change of theme.

I personally think Dinosaur should’ve been restored back its original Countdown To Extinction iteration and had tech & spfx enhancements added to it. (The Film IP tie in never truly made that ride better or added anything significant to it, truthfully) and instead of where the Encanto: Antonio’s Totally Wild! Casita Party ride is currently going, it should’ve been either a Carousel Theatre or American Adventure style audio-animatronics show starring the DAK-originated Dinosaur characters and the Duck cast (Donald, Daisy, the nephews, Scrooge, and Launchpad) themed around the Donald’s Dino Bash character greets they have currently, with an interactive area afterwards. Think a fun parody spin on the Jurassic Park show at the beginning of that film, but here it’s taking place in the Ducks’ Dinosaur Museum/Presentation space, the gang’s doing a whole presentation of how various dinosaurs evolved into the birds we see today (done in a humorous, engaging way) , but it all goes wrong in particularly funny ways (all thanks to those Dino characters (teamed up with Chip ‘n Dale, dressed in dino suits) we see scurrying around and messing with the various presentations they’ve got going on in there, they find Donald’s fits of confusion & frustration in reaction to things going wrong particularly funny, then it ends with a hilarious conclusion, classic Donald short style). This could be done both through audio-animatronics & physical figures ‘and’ new projections/screens of traditional animation depending on the gag/scene. After the show, it exits out into the Ducks’ Dinosaur research facility and we get to experiment and play on our own with things they’d have at real dinosaur excavation/research facilities. :

PS: WDI, if you’re ever reading my posts (which PS: I know you are 😉 I remember that usage of the idea I proposed here of making the portal to & from Figment’s current meet n greet space The Dreamport. I was SUPER happy to see that idea taken into consideration & implemented. Please do feel free to use any more I post/propose here. I give you guys over there 100% permission to do so 👍🏻👍🏻) (Maybe reuse some of those old Imagination Institute & Universe of Energy/Ellen’s Energy Adventure props for this thing, if you were to ever find a place to put this attraction proposal. I think you could make something work using any of that after the Journey Into Imagination pavilion is restored back to its original glory w the tech & spfx enhancements we’d expected to see done gradually over the years, just sayin’)

You this was just the Imagineers saying..."well we got rid of Camp Minnie-Mickey the only area that was for kids...So what do we do now with them?
Meh, Toss Mickey and Minnie over on Discovery Island. And Dinoland becomes the kids land area."

People who are fine with it (the significant majority) don’t have anything to say because it’s already getting replaced, and pending significant updates, there’s not much to discuss, but people can and do complain all the time.

It’ll be a completely new profile.
