I concur. We just saw this tonight for the first time on Main Street. This looks WAY different in person. The groups performing in between the floats were brighter and had more kinetics than how they looked in videos. And these floats are beautiful! They all looked so majestic moving up Main Street 😍!! I think my favorite is actually the last float with all of the characters on it. There was great reaction from the crowd too. I know most people have made their minds up but you should see it in person.
That last float really gets the crowds to going, its great to have such an energy back in the park.

I agree wholeheartedly. There was energy in the crowd. It reminded me of the nights when they had the old electric light parade. People were dancing. The crowd really cheered when Pinocchio appeared. And there was this big group of people dancing when the Royals went buy. But that last float 😍😍😍!!! It changes its color scheme multiple times and people loved it!

Yeah a proper show mix would be nice but you can get it through certain youtube vids,,,they allow you to hear the floats, the underliner, the beat, the dialogue,,,,there are a couple that are near perfect its almost like being there. That official soundtrack release while nice, its not what it could or should have been. These floats have a lot of different music variations going on.

Maybe I'm bad at searching YouTube... there's definitely some great videos already floating out there, just not quite the mix I'm hoping for. Don't need it to be perfect, the soundtrack scratches the itch for me for now

An interesting point I’ve noticed on this trip is that when we’ve told CM’s we were going to see the parade or saw it last night, etc. when they’re making small talk we have gotten a really consistent answer from them - they’ve all said the parade is “good” but not great and that it needs a lot of what we’ve been talking about it needing - more ground units, tweeter floats, cavalcades of characters, etc. and they’ve said they’ve heard mostly the same from other guests. One went as far to say they’ve noticed MK is still levels light in the evenings.

I heard the Peter Pan and Wendy float came in very late and they had issues with the harnesses. If you watch Tinkerbell's movement on the ground, she sort of initiates when Peter and Wendy will start to fly. Hopefully, they work it out cause it will definitely have the wow factor.

I’m somewhat afraid it will take so long for this feature to work it will just get cut.

I think the float arrival being late was mentioned here somewhere. The float is built with the mechanism installed, but that's not what's entirely needed for them to fly. It has to be choreographed, it has to go through safety training, and it has to go through the various departments needed to finally get the okay to go. You can't just put the performers on a harness and hope for the best. I wouldn't go as far to say they're doing this as fast as they can, but I would think it's at least being worked on at whatever pace it is. The main goal was to get the floats running for opening day.

I kind of hope Starlight does not have to long of a life span and get replaced or heavily upgraded by the 60th. I don’t think that’s totally crazy to say as that’s about 5 years out. Maybe Tokyo will finally replace Dreamlights and WDW will purchase the floats or some of them. Greatly depends on how big of a budget they get for the 60th. FoF should definitely be replaced around that time if not sooner and I’d imagine potentially HEA.

Night parades are hard to kill imo. Starlight is the first original one for the states since Light Magic and Spectro would've still been running if it hadn't of rotted away. I can see Starlight getting upgrades and enhancements if they're smart enough to do that. Dreamlights's future in my guess lies in whatever TDL's 50th would be, but that doesn't cross WDW 60th in time. FoF's replacement is well overdue and should've happened 5-6 years ago. A new day parade and fireworks would definitely be nice to come out of the 60th for MK. Hopefully Enchantment was a lesson for them if they're serious on replacing HEA.
