Dreamlights is a great show but it would be a bad purchase. All the best floats are the old ones that are on their last limbs.

It’s really not a good thing when a brand new parade is seen as just ok when, im pretty sure, a 10 year old parade meaning Paint The Night is seen as being more popular.

In all fairness, parades and nighttime spectaculars don’t just linearly get better over time. There’s a ton of variation. I have a hard time believing Paint the Night will be beat for a long time. The fact that Happily Ever After was as good as it was still surprises me, too.

Completely agree with this statement after seeing it in person this weekend. The potential is definitely there if they are willing to put in a little bit more effort ($).

Stylistically if the floats were added to starlight it would be a noticeable contrast, but Dreamlights is still up and running just fine. The parade finished "modernizing" its technology and floats in 2022 with the oldest ones being from 2011 and there isn't a difference in quality or technical issues faced during performances. Any issues would probably come out of the floats being in MK which is what Festival of Fantasy has been facing the last few years.

Problem with the 2 MK tokyo floats is they're having trouble getting original parts for the floats and they have to look for alternatives, thats why the wheels squeak loudly on both floats and the fish tank on monstro doesn't move anymore for the past 2-3 years.

Starlight Update: Storms cancelled the whole Night Last Night. Due to Lightning, Starlight finally Started at 9:40 Tonight. Heard the "Viewing Is Full" Announcement for the whole Parade Route Tonight. It said check a Times Guide....... I haven't found a MK July 2025 Times Guide!......

If they're making times guides again, I will got to MK just to get one haha.

Looks like HEA ended MK's Day.....There is some lightning around but it would be nice to know that MK would extend Parade Route Hours if they want a Second Starlight.....

Does anyone know what the "weather" requirements are to run the parade? Lots of lightning yesterday, but all outdoor attractions had reopened by 8:50. I was in the hub and they played the inclement weather announcement 3 times before starting at 9:40. Could there have been flooding on the route? It had rained heavily earlier and there was some flooding in spots then, but the rain stopped by 7 and the ground was mostly dry that I could tell by 9.

I don’t know - but for outdoor attractions they really only have to cycle the ride and reopen.

For the parade - they could have to dry and re-test each float, perhaps the lightning delayed them being able to stage the floats and props…. Lots of possibilities.

For all the faults of Disney - the ability to operate in all kinds of weather is still very impressive. Most parks would simply cancel and send everyone home.
