Today was registering for the shopping spree, went live at 1pm EST. Shockingly had some IT issues but got a slot for noon (earliest slot was 8am)

Pretty clear that, at least for pins, Disney's sending the ones which CMs wouldn't buy. Then again, even when I could order them as a CM (had a company email so I could access both MoG and the Company Store), I found their pin selection bizarre and extremely limited. If you could even get the pins you wanted online that is, because edition sizes were in the hundreds at best for most of them...

Based on progress, the only “announced” deadline I’m dubious of is Tropical Americas, ironically, and then maybe DCA Pandora making 2029.

Nothing at WDW appears remotely on a 2030 pace.
Them moving up The Boneyard's closing means they are either behind on schedule for Tropical Americas and need to work on it ASAP, or that they are actually further along than expected. I think them not moving up the closure of Dinosaur is making me think they are still expecting the 2027 opening

Seeing as the Encanto attraction there seems to being going alright pace wise with work mostly being utility and chipping away at the retaining wall and replacing it, I don't think TA is getting delayed past 2027, at worst it might be pushed to fall or winter of 2027. If we don't see the Encanto attraction going vertical by the end of this year, then I would start to get worried.

I hope it’s delayed. If they finish in two years when they haven’t even started building up yet, the ride and land will be very mid I’m afraid.

I hope they put a little blue sky into the presentation just to see which idea garners the best reaction. I partially think that's why VL got the go ahead (and why Moana and Zootopia got chopped at AK).

I do think we'll get one wild card, out of no where annoucement.

From what we heard before rumor-wise (or cancelled), hoping it's either Moana in AL (beyond Jungle Cruise please), Lion King in Africa or Poppins at the UK pavilion or a AK nightime show in the works.

More likely they will lean into easy wins for the crowd, like the HEA annoucement in D23 Expo 2022. Some other "easy wins" that would gather strong reactions would be:
  • Figment re-do
  • The return of MV3D, even if they don't share specifics. "We are happy to say that MuppetVision 3D will be returning at a Disney theme park. More details to come!"
  • Magical Express returning for 2026 bookings
Other than that, I expect a Bluey update and some art updates on the WDW and DLR projects. We'll probably see the Encanto ride vehicle.

I don’t personally see any of the above being announced.

A ‘Figment re-do’ would be a big gun they would want to announce with the biggest media exposure possible, so not in Florida.
They would want to save that for Anahiem’s big D23 Expo….whenever they finally decide what to do with the Pavillion as a whole.
Keep waiting….

MuppetVision 3D is gone for good in the fully immersive and physical form we once enjoyed.
Lots of talk behind the scenes about it ‘coming back in another form’ but talk is cheap.
A ‘virtual’ version will NOT cut it, Bob.
Sorry.

Magical Express, as we knew it, I do not see coming back in its previous form.
There will eventually be a baggage service offered again for Resort Guests, but I have doubts a fully blown DME service would return anytime soon.
Would be nice, however.

But stranger things have happened….

Who knows what could happen. Just because somerhing didn’t happen in the past doesn’t mean it couldn’t happen now. I think something could happen at dd23.

I could see figment happening this dd23 if it’s on the table. Most of the general public doesn’t know who figment is so I think it’s more likely they reserve something like that for dd23 where it’s mainly Disney fans vs fans + the gp. Plus, I think Disney knows they need a guaranteed win after all the controversies surrounding their announcements last year.

Destination is where Figment would realistically get Figment news because that room is filled with 90% of Figment’s entire fanbase and the other 10% failed to get tickets.

We’re all also forgetting that they will spend at least a half hour showing off Fortnite skins.

“We are happy to announce Dreamfinder’s return…. *crowd goes wild*…. AS THE LEVEL 100 SKIN IN THE FORTNITE BATTLEPASS”

Got an email today that they will have more food options open during lunch at Coronado, so that is good.
