Been doing that my entire life.
But that's what we said last time, and the time before that, and the time before that, and the ....Weirdly, I feel like we’re getting an Imagination 4.0 announcement this next D23 cycle…they’ve been on a bit of a development push with new experiences, and the inevitable time to make the change is nearing a breaking point. Either this or Spaceship Earth will get its due sooner than later. They can’t push it off too much longer.
Last I heard was SSE would go down first (after TT reopened), open, then Imagination would go down but open in time for Epcot 50. I expected the longterm SSE refurb (2 years) but it's looking like a brief refurb now.Weirdly, I feel like we’re getting an Imagination 4.0 announcement this next D23 cycle…they’ve been on a bit of a development push with new experiences, and the inevitable time to make the change is nearing a breaking point. "What everyone wants" is just the original ride brought back. A new version of JII is almost certainly not going to be able to live up to that, so yeah, it probably will be. The bar is just very low right now, nearly anything would be an improvement over what's there nowWatch JII 4.0 get announced this year and its worse than what everyone wanted
I’ll settle for better then 2 and 3"What everyone wants" is just the original ride brought back. Everybody loved test track 3.0, and NONE of that was up to anyone’s predictions! I think the imagination 4.0 we all want is something we don’t even KNOW we want."What everyone wants" is just the original ride brought back. Test Track is fine for what it is but remember this WDI also gave us Tiana's Bayou Adventure.Everybody loved test track 3.0, and NONE of that was up to anyone’s predictions! I think the imagination 4.0 we all want is something we don’t even KNOW we want.
And with how imagineering is as of late, and with test track, i trust imagineering to bring us a good NEW dreamfinder and figment adventure.

That was thanks to GM...and like someone else said Imagineering also gave us the tianapoo hill, so ....yeah I dont trust them but holding out hope to be pleasantly surprised when or if they do something there.Everybody loved test track 3.0, and NONE of that was up to anyone’s predictions! maybe, things have been looking better in what they have been doing and announcing since back then so thats a fair point. That started development in 2020, in peak
Chapek era, during imagineering furloughs and lake Nona. I think this is a different time, and a different imagineering.
My big question about this new hypothetical version is not if figment will be back. That’s a no brainer. Also not the track, I think they can make it work. My BIG wonder for a potential figment 4.0 is: does dreamfinder come back?
He was in the comic way back when and the golden book from like a year or two ago. And his ship had appeared as a reference in multiple spots in EPCOT as of late. (Meet and greet and some murals, as well as festival stuff). Will imagineering pull the trigger with him though?
Honestly, I think just having Inside Out with no Figment would be far worse.Imagination 4.0 is Inside Out plus Figment.
