Yes
They don't typically do anything like that unless it's for a media event. It'll be operations as usual tomorrow, maybe some CMs out and about in the morning welcoming people and trying to drum up excitement
aw man well hoping for merch then! i know everyones complaining abt the gift shop but the ride isnt even open yet obviously they wont be selling merch

Didn't see this until now- the one thing I was hoping for in this new version was the Sea Serpent, and we got it- kinda!

Can they sell this 3D print in the gift shop? Please? 😂

Epcot is the best park because of how well it excels at everything else (atmosphere, dining, layout, etc). Epcot probably has the weakest ride lineup of the 4 parks. (Even if it is my favorite.)
DAK has the best atmosphere and theming of any park
I think I kind of agree with both of these posts.

Overall, there is no doubt that DAK has superior themed environments than Epcot. However, World Showcase in particular has a certain old school Disney theme park magic that elevates the park above its individual attractions. It's one of the few places left where you can wander around and explore, as you might actually discover something different or interesting in a store unique to that pavilion and stumble upon a smaller attraction, exhibit, or unique entertainment. It is one of those few areas that has been blessed by a kind of benign neglect that has left it pretty frozen in time.

While I miss El Rio del Tiempo, I will also die on the hill that the Grand Fiesta Tour is one of the most underrated attractions at WDW! Also pure old school Disney in that you can just kind of stumble across a smaller, charming attraction like that without needing to plan or wait for hours to ride.

To be fair, Remy is almost always gone and Frozen nearly gone by this time of day regardless. That’s part of why LL is a terrible value at EPCOT given the tiering.
Test Track being back online should help a little with that though - still, this park needs 1-2 new experiences (and with little sign it's occuring ugh).

-Figment Update
-SSE Update
-New show replacing Pixar Shorts
-Mission Space Replacement
-WoL Update, which could have 2-4 "experiences."
-UK Pavillion Mary Poppins Spinner
-Replacing the planter with seats, shade, & water.

There's just so much that can be done to enhance

I strongly agree with this. The reason you can still explore back there and find things you never saw on a previous trip is because there really isn’t anything new or exciting being built in some of those pavilions. So it’s ignored by the masses.

The second you put something new or trendy back there, then the vloggers will swarm, it will be posted EVERYWHERE, and then it’s not something to find that’s new to you, it becomes another stop on the “must do” Disney list.

IMO it’s not that Disney isn’t building things worth checking out, it’s that social media will push whatever they create right into your skull months before the stupid thing even opens. You feel like you know what’s there before you set foot on property.

Seriously, I fully expect to know the design of the trash cans in both the Cars and Villains area months in advance. Every detail will be blasted out.

Just got back from my first DCL!

Was able to ride Test Track last Friday (7/18) during AP Previews (my first ever preview for any new ride, so was pretty exciting for me to check off my bucket list) before heading to Port Canaveral.

The queue is "clean" and very modern-looking, but there is plenty to look at imo. I do kinda miss the design your car preshow as it distracts you for a couple mins before loading. However, the various sets of cars, info signs, displays, etc. were all pretty interesting to look and read about while waiting.

I waited about 25 mins in the standby after scanning my VQ BG.

For the ride itself, I loved the progression. A nice step up from 2.0. The physical sets during the Lidar test to the house and design your car. Then the ride through the forest. The musical blip you hear during the tiny drop during that section was so good.
Also hopefully they integrate MagicBand effects in the ride. Could be a later update probably.

The finale doors were still open but it didn't affect the projections of the future. Still was able to see everything. Hope the doors are eventually restored and fixed.

Overall, a nice retheme and upgrade from TT 2.0. The physical sets elevates the ride over the previous iteration a lot. The musical score is also nice and integrated well.
The post-show is a bit bare after they ripped out all the interactive games. Basically just a show room of multiple cars now.
Will be nice to do singer rider line whenever I'm in the park tho!
