EPCOT Test Track to be reimagined

I'm heading to Epcot now and also just noticed the VQ hasn't started yet.

Thinking something is wrong, probably a delayed opening.

Yeah they got there, mom went to the entrance and was told (around 10:15) "Found the entrance. They are still testing it for use. They said come back anytime you want after your group is called." I feel a lil bad making them "rush" this morning (we're usually get there around lunch people), but she said NBD, niece wants to do SSE and Moana anyway.

Looks like it just opened! My BG 6 was called at 10:49am. But glad to know that you can come after the return window.

Yeah. I tried to get 1pm. All the tricks, and nothing. I really hate this virtual queue system... Guess I should have tried for 7am. Now I won't get to see it for awhile, most likely.

I know it's the way it works, but the whole thing still leaves such a bad taste in the mouth. I organized my day around the assumption 1pm drop would have some availability. So, pretty miffed right now. Makes me less and less interested in seeing it. Given they were letting people re-ride so much, was there that much demand from APs? The delayed opening maybe? Something carried over from yesterday's non-use?

I think there’s a lot of pros and cons to this style of VQ. Nice to not have to enter the park for the 1pm slot, kind of sucks how fast it goes when everyone can book the 1pm slot though. Still prefer VQ over a lottery system however, since this at least gives you some control over it.

That's very true. I wish they would just open a standby queue for APs on those days. That seems the most fair, but I get they have to justify the tech. I do wish there was a way to limit previews to just one per person during the preview period. If they are going to keep it to such a short period, seems like it would be more fair to increase capacity that way. But, that's probably more effort than they really care for APs. And, the bloggers (who I would guess are the main audience for AP Previews) will get what they need.

Just sad because I was genuinely excited to see it... And, it really did sour it for me going in now.

All the same thoughts I had w Tiana’s preview, that I missed out on after 2 days of tries. And yet here I go tomorrow, traveling from the Midwest tomorrow to try for AP test track. (Luckily I have Tue as a backup plan)

Yes. Luckily I'm local, so admittedly a different scenario than yours!

Thinking I may just call it and use my Express privileges at Universal instead. (Total first world problems there.)

At EPCOT right now, and good god this park needs more quality rides.

If they don’t plan on turning Imagination into an E-ticket and adding another rollercoaster (ie. Crush’s Coaster, Mt. Fuji), than Europa Park will easily continue to top it.

I don't think it needs another coaster but I think another thrill ride is needed.
it definitely needs another coaster.

We already have two non-coaster thrill rides.

Epic has 4. Magic has 5. Islands has 4. Hollywood is about to have 2.

Animal needs one too. Though, the Lion King flume ride makes far more sense before that. AK is excessively hot and Lion King is arguably their single biggest franchise that has no ride in the parks.
