Rode it in person as my first ride today and it was seamless. Very touching tribute.

As a side note, Small World has truly never looked better. We Small World fans are so lucky.

We can complain about lots of things, but I do think they put their money where their mouth is when they said they’d be investing in the parks, and that included maintenance and refurbishments.

Proof is in the pudding, and the amount of refurbishment work they’ve been doing.

True but I hope they keep it up long term and that wasn’t just for the 70th only to let things go until the 75th.

It’s a downgrade. I’m sorry, I know people want to treat it like an undisputed win, but the adult singing sounds so monotone. They didn’t even have to change that part since the adult choir only sings the chorus, not the new verse.

I haven’t heard it yet but I do know that the words dont seem to flow as well when I try to sing them. Like with the repeating sound here… Mother Ear(th)

Honestly I think this is an incredibly tasteful enhancement they’ve done to the ride. I think the new written lyrics sound good and the vocals are very good aswell. Sounds nearly indistinguishable from the rest of the original audio. Gotta give props to the team in charge of this, I do agree though on the adult vocals at the very end though, add the 60s adult vocals back into the mix, and it’d sound much better. Thankfully, that’s an easy little plussing they can make hopefully soon.
I’ll say though, my experience seeing the ride was different than another poster here. I noticed some animatronics not animating properly or props not working as they should. That was a bit sad to see. ‘But’ again, ultimately a very tasteful enhancement and am happy the team did as well as they did overall. In the end, I’m just glad these classics are still operating and getting these kind of enhancements over anything else. Gotta be grateful they’re as well done & implemented as they are, all things considered. It’s a blessing in all honesty. And again, most of these issues can be fixed w easy routine tweaks & maintenance & a little plussing to the audio.

Boat timing matters with the new verse. When I rode today my boat was almost out by the time the new verse started so I didn’t get to hear it all.
