I don’t think Paris wants a Night Parade. No Reason why PTN can't Return before 20th Momentous.

Paris I know has struggles with having a night parade but I’m surprised Shanghai hasn’t attempted a night parade yet, unless they have issues like Paris.

Paris operationally has issues in the summer with late daylight. I’ve watched Fantillusion when it was still a very bright dusk for the finale.
They should follow the Shanghai Disneyland route and have one for the rest of the year. A Paint the Night-style parade — or even the return of the original Main Street Electrical Parade — would look amazing with that beautiful Main Street and castle in the background.

As much as I'd love a night parade at DLP I don't think one fits in their requirements operationally. October to December they have their Halloween and Christmas seasons with Christmas already having a night version of a day parade. January to February is off-season where a night parade would just be financial drag you then lead into the Easter period where the park is already busy and then you are already approaching the summer so a night parade would only have a possible run time of a couple of months.

I think it's also worth considering how DLP uses entertainment to fill the oversupply of ride capacity in the main park which results in more things being required to keep guests busy (when you consider the park in the peak isn open from 0830-2300 each day with 'low' attendance compared to the US Parks or Japan and the low uptake of paid for Fastness meaning the lines rarely go over 60 minutes and average closer to 30 so it's easier to complete the park) this year they seem to be tactically chosen to run entertainment later than average until 1930-2000 on a 2300 close to ensure there is activity into the evening. Realistically if they were to do a night parade most of the seasonal summer budget would go into the parade removing entertainment during the day.

I saw a Youtube comment from someone who claimed to have insider information that PTN would return sometime during the 20th. Then again it is just a YouTube comment so take it with a massive grain of salt.

Hey... the fact that HKDL has been playing "When Can We Do This Again" (by owl city) outside in the park promenade and also in the castle hub ever since 20th Anniversary started..

In the new "We Call It Imagineering" episode, the Monsters Inc float from Paint the Night is seen in the float warehouse in HKDL. (Time: 8:40)

I don't think they'd need to open the park later to run paint the night. Back in December 2016 the park was open 10:30-8pm and ran PtN at 7pm, or open until 8:30/9pm and ran it at 7:30pm. In July 2016 they also ran it at 8pm when the park was open until 9.

I really hope they are going to bring it back soon!

There is no way that Disney would post this video, knowing fans would examine every millisecond with a microscope, and not bring PTN back. If PTN was never coming back, they would’ve excluded that scene. This has to be a teaser for its return.

By the way, is there any news on construction of the Pixar expansion and the Spidey Tower? We know there must be some work since the RR is closed but it’s been very radio silent. I see people posting spy shots of the Shanghai coaster. There are even photos now of activity in the expansion pad next to Indie in DisneySea, where Frozen was originally proposed before merging into Fantasy Springs. Yet, there is nothing coming out of Hong Kong.

When I was there on the 28th of June I took a look at the Pixar expansion site from the toy soldiers ride. It was still just a big patch of dirt then with no signs of any structure being built yet. The only thing I remember seeing was one excavator/digger on the site.

I pretty sure they don't even have plans set out yet for what the "Pixar-entertainment" area is going to be like, they are probably still in Bluesky or R&D. I have a feeling that the Spiderman TOT will open just before the park reaches it's 25th anniversary, assuming that work hasn't start yet over in that area.

I mean, I've mentioned this before but HKDL has added "When can we do this again?" to the castle hub and park promenade music loop soooooo....
