What does it mean to NOT be OK with something? Being satisfied to pout in the corner? Or expecting someone to respect your dissent and do what exactly?

Nothing needs to be done lol I don't know why you keep inferring that I believe that something should be done if one person doesn't like a change at WDW. My point with all of this is that there is a likelihood that someone who can't currently understand why some of us do not agree with the Cars/ROA/TSI change, will mostly likely have that understanding someday when something they love is removed for something they don't think is a worthy replacement. And most people that say they will always love the replacement just as much are most likely lying to themselves.

That was me. Disney calls out nine franchises in their 10Q’s and Cars was last in the top nine in 2022, when Stitch overtook its spot in 2023.

The combo of tracking the 10Q and these very recent comments from Deadline would lead me to believe Cars is now either 10th or 11th. The other franchise frequently mentioned but not currently in Disney’s 10Q is Lion King. Knowing that just had a 2024 film entrant, it’s possible Cars has fallen to 11th. But either way the revenue is both beyond its prior peak, but also not insignificant.

The reckless priorities of the company that they feel they need a Cars attraction warrants this effort, would be the third clue the revenue remains still significant.

The choice for Cars isn't just based on how big of a franchise it is, but also how big TWDC wants it to be.

Cars is pushed because it fills an age gap for boys. Mickey and Friends -> Cars -> Marvel -> Star Wars.

Imagine being a Frontierland rides CM.

Just two years ago you got to work a wonderful, iconic ride that was a serious contender for the pinnacle of imagineering, a great, funny show, AND really drive a raft!

Now...uh...well, you'll have Big Thunder back eventually. Enjoy the view of the pit of dirt where you used to work among the trees.

I hope she's feeling better; if it hurts us I'm sure it's worse for a CM.

Star Wars Galaxies Edge in Disneyland already broke that rule.

I don't quite like castle park single IP lands because they take me out of the castle park, and into somewhere else.

I can't quite explain why, but MS, AL, FL, TL transport me both to their worlds and keep me firmly in the castle park, they enhance the park and their story. Whereas single IP lands don't. I leave DL when I cross into GE, and that's both a positive and a negative. The very idea of course is to be transported to another place, but yet, ultimately, Disneyland's story isn't furthered by GE, the whole is no longer greater than the sum of the parts.

To be honest the concept of Larry the Cable Guy singing juxtaposed with the obnoxious sounds of the Haunted Mansion Interactive Queue sound like nightmare fuel for me. So I hope it is as far away from the Mansion as humanly possible.

The concept of Larry the Cable Guy singing wasn't exactly something I welcome either, but Junkyard Jamboree is a lot of fun, so here we are.

It’s a very boring layout and there really isn’t much to explore. It’s very detailed, often beautiful, and the water feature is used well, but it’s just not interestingly arranged.

Pandora's most interesting exploration and vantage points area is the exterior part of the FoP queue. The part you rush through. I wish these had just been integrated as parts of the land to explore.

Rohdhe keeps building queue areas as the most exploration worthy parts of his projects. ITTBaB, Dinosaur, Kali, Everest, FoP. All sublime queues, but not easily explored at your leisure. Too detailed to rush through, not placed properly to be examined more closely.

There were quite a few tears among Splash CMs that last night, you can even see some getting emotional after the big drop. Even for Muppets, there were a few crying

I think you're grossly overthinking Galaxy's Edge and "Disneyland's story." Like a lot complaints on this board, it sounds like baseless criticism of any changes dressed up as an esoteric philosophical debate about the park.

I mean it was in every WDW park within three years after its release and was a major influence to the newest park opening right after.

When was there a Lion King attraction in Hollywood Studios? I don't think they even had a parade....

During that time Disney (90s-2000s) Disney was very slow at making rides for new IPs, if at all. So there's a big gap of IPs that were overlooked previously for attractions.

And Iger apparently doesn't like building attractions based on pre-2009 movies, unless they star a princess.

It was declining long before 2020.
