'Ironheart' (Marvel Disney+ Series)

I was pretty bored by the first episode. Might force myself to watch the rest if it becomes important later on.

It wasn't actively bad like Secret Invasion, but it's in the same category as Echo where I just found myself struggling to get excited to continue with the series.
I felt the same way about Daredevil Born Again. It was a struggle to finish it. The Netflix show and the Ben Affleck movie were better.

I didn't care at all for the first four episodes of Daredevil Born Again. I thought episode 5 was a fun standalone, and that episodes 6-7 were pretty good and episodes 8 and 9 were great.

DBA suffered from having to undergo a complete creative overhaul when the original vision of the show turned out to not be working. As a result, it's a Frakenstein's monster of a show that's been messily reassembled and reshot. I'm more optimistic about season 2 of Daredevil Born Again, if it ever happens.

Went into this not knowing what to expect and not expecting much. Really enjoyed it and was looking forward to the second batch. Found all the characters engaging and well acted. Unlike some other Marvel shows, the production quality was consistent throughout with many film-quality effects. Plus- and this is a big plus and why I've mostly enjoyed all the Disney+ Marvel and Star Wars projects- I've not seen this show before. Each project has felt genuinely new and different. Can't wait for VisionQuest.

In spite of the truly, horrendously awful trailer for this show, I found myself with a day to spend in front of the TV and decided to give this a try.

Count me shocked. I found this to be one of my favorite Marvel Disney+ shows to date. Probably third fave behind Ms. Marvel and Falcon & Winter Soldier.

Good pacing, engaging characters, solid story, good ties to the overall universe but made sense as a standalone. Didn't quite stick the landing but only because it was left open-ended and there's not likely to be a follow up.

Really quite enjoyable.

That’s great to hear- I’ll probably check it out. I loved Ms. Marvel!

There's a similar importance-of-family kind of vibe to it. But given the age difference of the lead characters, it's a somewhat darker tone, but not overly bleak ala Daredevil: Born Again nor obnoxiously self-righteous like She-Hulk. So I was good with it.

I actually liked She Hulk a lot. We watched it during a bachelorette weekend and all of us were rolling on the floor. The actress was pretty hilarious. It was fun.

The majority of She Hulk was funny and engaging. The problem is that it got weighed down by the like 20% that was trying to be edgy and social commentary. If they had just kept it as a courtroom comedy with hijinks related to superpowers, it would have been awesome and IMHO much better received.

We already have a third season Night Court on NBC. Do they need to do a super hero episode?

It's amazing how the original series cast is entirely dead except John Larroquette and Marsha Warfield.

And how many Law and Order shows do we have, or other courtroom procedurals did we have over the years, did we really need more?

Its a genre and they work for a reason.

So I just finished watching it. Don’t want to get too spoilery but thought the plot was actually good and I really commend that each episode was actually a well contained story so it worked as a TV show but just with a season long plot.

I didn’t find the characters all that great though - mostly just unlikable or underdeveloped. It was hard to “root” for Riri or anyone really. I think some tweaking of the storyline where she was using the suit to help out another family member in trouble - rather than from a mess she created - would have made her more heroic and likable
