Two big disappointments in life-
Santa is not real.
The castle dream lights will never return. 😭
I think they could return one day.

They will likely get another year out of the Frozen projection show for their ROI calculators to work.

But Christmas 2026 might be the time to really do something different. New major lands will be the draw beyond that (Tropical Americas 2027, Monstropolis 2028, Frontierland 2029, etc)

Sorry to bump this old thread but since it’s halfway to the holidays today, do we have any idea when announcements will be for this years parties?
According to Grok, for MVMCP: dates were announced June 24th 2024, June 15 2023, June 23rd 2022. Sales about 1-2 weeks later.

Jollywood: Announced same times as above for the past two years, with tickets about 1-2 weeks.

So history says soon!

Any Insiders hearing if Castle Dreamlights has a chance this Year?

I've given up on Castle dream lights.

My bet is those do not return for logistical and cost effectiveness reasons.

Projections are also more flexible. You're able to change the model in an instant. dream lights is a One trick pony. A wonderful and brilliant but still one trick pony.

I just cannot see them wanting to bring in a crane for weeks, just spend the manpower to set up the lights. The have the castle be just dream lights and nothing else, and then spending the manpower and bringing The crane back in to take it all down.

Please don't get me wrong. I do think the dream lights are a superior look to the projections with a much great "wow!" Power. I am NOT defending projections.... I just don't see the company going in that direction again.

I wonder if they ever tested projecting an image of the castle dream lights on to the castle? Maybe they tested it and it looked like cr@p.

It would be interesting how close a projection of the castle dream lights would look to the real thing?

I was actually thinking the same thing. Must not be a good effect?

2025 Info is out! Everything looks the same as 2024....... Starlight is mentioned and looks like it'll still be twice a night on Non Party Nights.

STILL NO Castle Dreamlights or POE TAG!!! Sigh!!!!!
With an 11/14 start, should I assume then there will be no Jollywood for 11/8? Starting 11/9 last year on a Saturday

I’m probably grasping at straws but they didn’t say the lights were not returning. Just because it’s the same show as last year doesn’t mean lights can’t be added to it?

News Today says projections will be returning

But interestingly it doesn’t say so on either the Parks Blog or on DisneyConnect’s press release.
However, there is a photo of the projections on the “Holidays at Magic Kingdom” section of the DPB article

Their wording is interesting,

With appearances from Anna, Kristoff and a magical moment from Elsa as she transforms Cinderella Castle into a shimmering crystallized palace, this show is a dazzling nighttime experience that guests won’t want to miss.

But I don’t remember how it was worded last year and, to them, projections could create a shimmering and dazzling nighttime experience 🤷‍♂️.
