Even with Rocket Rods, PM could get revived at DL if a full TL revamp happens. And even as the closest scenario to this having to look at deteriorating PM track affects far less then this river being taken out.

Do feel for those who had to be assigned this. No matter the result the old MK is gone after today.

Except the tracks were destroyed are completely unusable. The only way to bring back a pm is to rebuild it which would require removing Buzz, Star tours, carousel building completely and then you have autopia and subs that would be affected. There will never be anything worse than the rocket rods travesty.

This is the original Magic Kingdom that opened in 1971 not a park that Michael Eisner scrambled to build to compete with Universal. Are any of Walt's ideas sacred in "Walt" Disney World?

Carousel of Progress for sure as that is the original. Guess People over as only one left

Others feel like the original is in Disneyland (doesn't mean the ones in MK are garbage but I view them differently)

Obviously totally different and not directly connected to Walt but the other thing I would put on that elevate level would be the actual Spaceship Earth Geodesic globe just as is symbol of Epcot and Epcot is sort of the symbol of the Florida project (even if not what Walt was envisioning for it)

With that logic, remove COP, HOP, Treehouse, and Tiki Birds. Never mind offering experiences that can be done almost immediately that round out being in a theme park instead of another attraction with a more than 1 hour wait. How stupid of me.

Absolutely not , COP and HOP are unique to magic kingdom , treehouse and Tiki aren’t blocking any expansions.

You see that brick mansion back over yonder there in the woods? I’ve heard folks hereabouts say it was haunted. They say it was built on sacred Indian burial grounds, so now it’s filled with spirits. If you ask me, I’d say the ones tellin’ those tales are the ones filled with spirits. If you want proof, just ask ’em — they got it. About a hundred proof, I reckon. Not only is this very sad, it's also going to look really horrible for a long time. First the river gets drained and lots of dirt/construction will be the view for years unless they put walls up all along the river which will look like crap itself.
