I agree with a lot of this. I am not sure if it’s an operational concern to have so much activity zig zagging on top of one another or just creative laziness, but the newer lands, while “pretty” have a soullessness to them. Visual looks? 9/10. Soundscapes? 9/10. Physical kinetic energy? 2/10. Of course, Instagram is not a good place to capture that kinetic nuance, and we know who they design for now (not kids, not adults, but the ‘Gram).

Every diagram I've seen has never shown anything removed from the upper portion. Sure, there may be a walkway under the tracks to Villains. But all indications have been on the other side of the tracks.
Cars is the bottom half of the river, Villains is the top half, within the train track loop.

It is probably an expansion of traversable area and definitely an expansion of attraction and facility total. It may also be prepping for expansion farther west, though it's difficult to know if that will be park or resort space.
Yes, but of course the Disneyland solution with Galaxies Edge expanded the traversable area and didn’t replace any attractions other than the petting zoo. Which honestly… I do kind of miss those goats! Haha.
