Giant teen tour groups are back

I thought WDW had nipped this in the bud, but 100+ young teenager groups are back and creating a nuisance. We saw at least one the last several days where n the park, and one just plowed through me as I stood outside the Merchant of Venus today.

They divide up into groups of 8-10 and go on rides unsupervised and act like you would expect that many unsupervised 13 year olds would.

I don’t recall Dis ever doing anything to change these groups from amassing at the parks. We’ve been annoyed by several groups of unruly teens before. There’s nothing you can do except turn around and go in another direction to avoid them. The noise they make, the blocking of your paths, and other issues they bring with them isn’t something Dis can really stop. Moving somewhere away is your best action to take.

I’ll be visiting from the UK August 24-Sep 7th, are there any sports/cheerleading/band groups or events that usually happen that could be a disruption? I’m staying at All Stars too 😓

I remember staying at All Star Sports the same time a Brazilian group was there. It was despicable. All the young girls wore thongs in the pool outside our room. Other than that there was no problem.
Can you remember the specific dates they visited or give me a rough annual window ................................................ just so I can avoid them in the future obviously? Oh and it was definitely the All Star Sports wasn't it?

I thought they had taken steps to at least decrease the size of groups back prior to 2020. I know this is the first time since then that we have seen groups this large. Maybe it was just the timing of the trip.

You sure that's a problem? (just kidding, don't flag me)

As a teenager, I apologize on behalf of your experiences. I'm sure not all of us are like that and we're really just students enjoying our time at the parks. There are problem groups in each demographic and it's not an exclusive thing.

I’m a decent sized guy and with a double stroller played the “I’m not moving” game. It was fun. They learned fast.

So were you trying to be creepy or it just came out that way.

I know we made the mistake of staying at a value resort in the fall in the past and had the pleasure of some pop warner football thing which resulted in screaming kids running around in the evenings to the point that it was hard to get any rest because of the noise. To be honest, if I were you I would stay somewhere else... unless there are some perks that you simply have to have from staying in a Disney resort the values resorts are a complete rip for what you are getting. If you are going to have a rental car then do yourself a favor and either stay in a non-Disney that is close, or check out Cabana Bay at Universal... it's about the same price as a value at Disney but gives you what is more like a moderate Disney in terms of what you get.

Not typically as it's right at the start of our school year and those events usually occur later into the school year, however, I am not seeing a lot of availability at the value resorts, but I am at moderates and deluxes for that time period, so there could be something going on. I'm a little surprised to hear about groups in July.

I personally would request upper floor; that's the best way to get away from the noise. If you happen to be in preferred, I've found that's quieter as well. If Disney is overbooked, they may upgrade you, in which case, definitely take it.
