This baby carrier plush has to be a thing too!!!! They could really get creative here![]()
just noticed the mail box - be cool if you could get a Monstropolis stamp and actually mail a letter from there

I know this was from their earlier concept art, and none of that should be taken as Gospel Truth, but I was intrigued with the inclusion of the kid eating “monster” ice cream. I thought the idea of a dedicated ice cream parlor would be fun where Rizzo’s was. Does DHS have a dedicated ice cream spot already?
Dinosaur Gertie’s Ice Cream of Extinction is also in the park when it is open. Another example of Disney forgoing easy revenue for reasons.yeah, Hollywood Scoops on Sunset Bvld but definitely isn't as nice as like on Main St in MK
Plus they could call the place in Monstropolis Eye Scream![]()
Wasn't Gertie's just soft-serve?Dinosaur Gertie’s Ice Cream of Extinction is also in the park when it is open. Another example of Disney forgoing easy revenue for reasons.
Glad someone remembered this.
There will indeed be food as part of the monsters inc. land.Had to double-check the topic of this thread.
I knew I hadn't subscribed to any WDW General Food Discussion threads...
While Harry Hausen's will likely be some kind of Japanese fusion type place, I am hopeful for the Quick ServiceHonestly, losing the table service Italian place was a big loss for my family. It was our go-to table service at DHS (specifically with the Fantasmic dining package). I hope Italian can make a return to this park, but I don’t think Monstropolis is the avenue for that.
please no.While Harry Hausen's will likely be some kind of Japanese fusion type place, I am hopeful for the Quick Service
It is possible that it re-opens with a new iteration but same food.
I could see "monsters themed pizza" being fairly easy to shift too.
Like, a kids pepperoni pizza with pepperoni in the shape of Mike's eye or something.
Kinda just depends if they want to keep the intact infrastructure already there
I shamefully just loved Pizzerizzo and Pizza Planet and just want a new version![]()
Converting a no frills Italian restaurant in an area geared for kids to a Japanese fusion restaurant seems like a miss unless they retain something for pickier eaters (like, pizza)While Harry Hausen's will likely be some kind of Japanese fusion type place, I am hopeful for the Quick Service

That's what the quick service next door is forConverting a no frills Italian restaurant in an area geared for kids to a Japanese fusion restaurant seems like a miss unless they retain something for pickier eaters (like, pizza)

Marked in red is the chiller utilities for the park. That ain't going nowhere.

I never understood why they didn't just partner up with those pizza companies you find in convenient stores. Gas station pizza is still a considerable step up from the Rat Pizza, and just as prefab. Or gone with a chain like Cicis with the understanding that while the restaurant is space-themed it'd also be "sponsored by" with the subtle branding.I was always disappointed that Pizza Planet didn't, you know, look like Pizza Planet. It should have been really cool. And good theming would have helped me forgive the bad pizza. There's nothing more on theme for an arcade than bad pizza.
Same, honestly. Not expecting any sort of high-end Japanese restaurant.I never understood why they didn't just partner up with those pizza companies you find in convenient stores. I still say Pizza Planet as a concept, would have work better in MK. Looking ahead and now knowing they committed to keeping Buzz around a little longer... why not try again! Maybe in the CM parking lot up from where Main Street Theater was to go.
Back to Harryhausen's: I fully anticipate more casual traditional theme park fare honestly with Japanese Fusion influence but leaning heavily on the Monsters Inc theme to afford them the option to play with the menu, more forgiving food options. Still offering sushi, ginger salad and miso soup but... wouldn't be surprised to see Monsters Inc-inspired sliders or panko-breaded chicken fingers.
Catalina Eddie’sDo we think we will see a conversion elsewhere in the park? It's no secret that Italian food is very popular. Perhaps another location will focus more on Italian cuisine. Sci-Fi used to serve pasta.
