Sell well with the typical midwestern & southern WDW guest is what you actually mean.
Wow. Snob much? Hey, @Midwest Elitist, have you ever eaten sushi? Dayown heere in the souff we ain't know whut thayat iuhs.
Publix has been offering sushi onsite since 1997-1998. It is quite common to Americans.
Yep. Discount on Wednesdays! And, gee, in what part of the country is Publix based? 🤔

I know malls aren’t a thing in the US like they are in much of the world, but any given Canadian food court 2/10 spots are Japanese, one is usually Chinese and one is usually SE Asian of some sort.

I feel like Japanese food is fairly prevalent and palatable enough for Americans these days. It’s been Americanized. Hopefully those electing for a Japanese themed restaraunt would understand what an American-Japanese restaraunt would serve.

Even just thinking of the major American cruise operators. Usually they start with a steak house, then Italian… but pretty quickly a sushi restaraunt is the next specialty the lines go to.

Not to mention Monsters allows them to go a tad off script.

Local malls by me all have at least one Asian place in the food court.

K,... I kinda missed that. Was that from Disney, an insider, or a guesser?

At little of column A and C. Harryhausens is replacing Mama Melrose as per both iterations of the concept art. That's why I added the probably caveat, the conversation originated when it was questioned if WDW guests could tolerate a Japanese restaurant based on the content of the menu implied from Monsters Inc.
