Why does the world’s busiest theme park have less dining capacity today than it did in 1993? Why was Tomorrowland Terrace closed today as it has been for years now?No I don’t.
But why didn’t they keep it open then?

The debate is that MV3D closed early simply as a cost cut initiative. As Disney wouldn’t have to pay operating costs to the staff to run the show.what even is the debate here
It’s more than just that. Disney doesn’t have to pay cast to run muppets. Or cast at pizzarizo. Or servers, seaters, and kitchen staff at Mama Melrose. Or custodial cast to staff and clean the land and its two restrooms. Or leaders and coordinators for any of those locations. Or maintenance cast to work on the show, facilities, and equiptment in the theater, restaurant, and around the land. They don’t have to pay horticulture to replace flowers or trim trees. They don’t have to pay painters to touch up wear and tear. Or third shift to vacuum, high dust, or power wash. They don’t have to pay for replacement glasses, equipment or parts. They don’t even have to pay to AC those facilities or run the fountain. The list goes on.As Disney wouldn’t have to pay operating costs to the staff to run the show.
That’s not what is being discussed here at all - I’m not sure what you were replying to or why?To put it simply, they feel that Disney is destroying their childhood.
Kind of? I flew out to California after reserving a “preview” of galaxies edge. letdown isn’t even the word. They opened Galaxy’s Edge without Rise and it was kind of a letdown.
I don’t think we hear anything until d23 2026.The replacement for Muppets will open in quarter ———— of —————.
Please fill in the blank. No conversation needed, just two numbers. I don’t even need a month, just a quarter is fine.
Can't tell if it's been mentioned with so many new posts, but Bioreconstruct noticed a yellow line in the parking lot showing the outline of the new building. It's hard to make out so I drew over it to make it clear:

Has any insider given any kind of indication that plans for a Muppets replacement have been finalized or are even close to being finalized?

That’s VERY generous, since the Zootopia conversion took less than a year.I think the simplest line in the sand for @mattpeto's hypothesis to hold up: the courtyard really should open before or by the time Tropical America's does. Considering Dinoland at large still isn't closed, that would be generous.
For the record, I too think they are slow rolling it and the whole thing opens together in ~Q2 (fiscal ~Q3) 2028.
I'm hoping whatever they do to the MV3D theater is more in depth than converting TTBAB to Zootopia. Remember, there they pretty much have one room to retheme, here they have an entire land and could completely redo the exterior if they wantThat’s VERY generous, since the Zootopia conversion took less than a year.
This is what they are doing to the exteriorcould completely redo the exterior if they want
I’d watch that!View attachment 867952
I think there's a chance show opens sooner than the coaster. Depends how fast they get construction done near the show/how bad DHS needs capacity.
I think Villains closes when the land officially opens/gets close to opening. So probablyyyyy a year or two later?Do we think it’s fair to assume that when the Monsters show opens the villains show closes? Especially if they already have an idea of what will replace is as @lentesta suggests
With Star Wars Launch Bay still open for business I have no hope. :-/I think Villains closes when the land officially opens/gets close to opening. So probablyyyyy a year or two later?

Oh for sure! Everything stays in place and is reused except for studio 1 which is demolished. The only major cosmetic change I see is to the outside of Mama Melrose.I think this is one of the reasons they chose to put Monsters here, they can get away with very light re-theming of the existing buildings.
