I think the 2 scenes with bicycles were some sort of an attempt to give off a "revolution of motion" vibe? LSee, aside from the 5 seconds or so of future city, I didn’t get much of “classic Epcot”.

Don't know, but it's big. It's interesting, seems to have parallax, which means it must have been rendered from the point of view of the moving car. Unless it's the 2.5D projection-mapped scenery as used in MMRR.Looks fairly big is it an IMAX or domed cover screen?
Yes, you caught me! I have finally revealed I don't blindly love everything Disney does. Ya got me!!!This is such a bizarre take on so many levels, but it's good that you have fully revealed who you are.
The only real way of hiding that area (which has been there since day 1 of TT) would be to either build over the entire backstage area or build over the outdoor portion of the majority of the track. I think that both would have been prohibitively expensive for something that most have been fine with since the ride opened.Watched a POV, definetly liked it more than 2.0. I just wish they had made that outdoor loop look less "backstagey"

Not necessarily. They could have raised platforms with trees, hedges, forced perspective cityscapes Could have neon led tubing built into elements or arches over the track which become aglow at night. They could have done a wide variety of things to improve the finale, but they didn't. Having been on RSR, that ending could be killer. That would require them building a second show building for the exterior loop.
Nope TT 2.0 was superior in every way to 1.0 and 3.0 is even better. And what happens to lead the user before that transition or into that sequence outside? That's right.. absolutely nothing. So 'heres a look at the future... BRRTT.. wait.. here's a rush around a company property for a bit'
So like I said "was TT2.0 that bad that people will love just about anything over it?"
I guess so...![]()
Hard disagree. I understand the desire to change from 1.0 to 2.0, but I did find that the 1.0 aesthetic fit the ride concept the best. It had a touch of dark humor in it as we were crash test dummies, and when we faced that wall with crashed vehicles nearby, I would always giggle like a fiend.Nope TT 2.0 was superior in every way to 1.0 and 3.0 is even better.
Agree with your post. I do wish they’d always make an effort to not have storage containers or any items making you feel like you are truly backstage. Just smart placement out of view needs to be priority. The only real way of hiding that area (which has been there since day 1 of TT) would be to either build over the entire backstage area or build over the outdoor portion of the majority of the track. If they'd 'tunnelled' the track by covering it then they'd also have had to sort of justify it by having some sort of display as you travelled through it to make it make sense. I'm sure if they'd have told the imagineers to do what they want that they could have come up with numerous ideas but I think the cost wouldn't have been worth it.
Personally I also quite like the blasting out into fresh air on a hot day and think they feeling of speed would be diminished somewhat if the track were enclosed at that point and I also quite like the sneak peek that you get of that area which I think they've tidied up to an acceptable standard.

2.0 was slicker and cooler looking, but felt kind of corny and try hard. This new version has far more soul than 2.0, but it still lacks the fun and concept of 1.0.
Enjoy your 90s highway signs and empty warehouse then
It’s usually what people remember when they pine for 1.0 (and I really loved them too!), but most conveniently forget the rest of the ride lolAdmittedly, I am kind of nostalgic for the "hot test" and "cold test" rooms that Test Track 1.0 had.

I think you could still mitigate it significantly without adding a tunnel. If the track stilts had paneling between them more or less to the ground, you wouldn’t be looking out through them when banking inward. Add a built “structure” in the center instead of the bland logo and you’d pull attention there. Some strategically placed visibility shields in areas along the outside edge that are unbanked straightaways could help even more. The only real way of hiding that area (which has been there since day 1 of TT) would be to either build over the entire backstage area or build over the outdoor portion of the majority of the track.
