I think if you don’t work there and you’re not an expert, there should be some deference.

Sometimes there are reasons for things that are not readily apparent, and not only based on aesthetics.

Hm... Have to see these in person. I actually really like the undercarriage lighting. I like the idea of this alot. I can't decide how I feel yet. I don't love that picture for some reason, but it's also a close up picture.

If you work (or did) for Disney as an Imagineer, I would weigh your opinion more heavily.

I know a lot of people say the word “experts” with an eye roll these days - as if all opinions are equal regardless of experience or training - but I have more respect for opinions based on actual knowledge and not just, “I like things to match.”

I can’t see the post(s) to which you are referring (because I have certain people on ignore) but fair warning: using the laugh emoji other than if something is funny (like to ridicule someone) goes against the rules around here. It may go unnoticed. Sometimes you may get a warning or suspension.

Well… the monorails are electric and the steam train burns diesel so not sure that’s the argument here.

The monorails are many things…but energy efficient was never one of them

They’ll be around for a bit. But I’m not sure they’ll even replace the trains…sure as hell not gonna replace the beams if needed

Exactly my first thought. Why couldn't they have matched the color for the lighting underneath? C'mon, they really need to hire some detail-oriented people.

When did the WDW monorail lettering ever match the stripe color before? They were always blue. Why should the glowing match them now?

They've been getting overhauls for the past 5 years with the internal components and a refreshed interior, new monorails aren't planned anytime soon.

It's not Ship of Theseus territory, I wonder what percentage of components have been changed out recently
