EPCOT Big changes coming to EPCOT's Future World?

Physically there, but waving into the new lounge more than inspecting while I was walking by. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Iger has spent notably more time in the parks since his return - by several factors. I hardly recall him ever being spotted a decade ago, apart from limited media opening appearances or his photo ops. He’s even been at Aulani.

Perhaps not coincidental timing with what @lentesta shared. Or perhaps a test track fan.

This just sums up the whole thing about the State of Epcot..

I hate to break it to you but I can guarantee he thinks it looks "nice" because it's as soulless and sterile as he is.
Honestly, while I am certain he is not genuinely as bad as most here make him out to be, if he were legitimately soullessly ego-driven, then he’d probably hate the current core because they failed to build the monument to himself that he actually wanted under Bob the Lesser.

I understand the sentiment but any sane businessperson would look at how they tore down Communicore West to try to replace it with a structure that would have been physically impossible to build. Only to back down and build something as bland as Communicore Hall which functionally is not that different from what they already tore down. The light-up logo in the concrete that cannot function after a basic Florida rainstorm plus the fact that this area took 5 years to construct. Sterile as he may be, I don't think Iger is stupid. Anyone with two functioning brain cells could see that this was a massive waste of time, money and resources for the company.

He seems to care so little about the state of the parks that I wouldn't be surprised if he didn't really know what was there beforehand. Not to mention the Jeff/Josh combo that are probably extremely eager to hide their mismanagement, I'd be willing it was all swept under the rug. That's what happens in business when you're surrounded by idiots/poor leaders/yes men.

Disney has today announced a new launch coaster coming to World Celebration at Epcot in 2026. Parks Chairman Josh D’Amaro shared plans with chosen media at an event celebrating a new salad coming to Cosmic Ray’s Starlight Cafe.

Proving that there’s never been a better time to visit Walt Disney World Resort, the fully accessible new coaster invited guests to travel at their own desired speed from The Land to Mission: Space!
