WaltWiz is another one of our slightly newer players and one I hate to say but I don’t know much of the career of. I’ve certainly seen them pop up but the unfamiliarity I have with this player is all the more exciting making for another wildcard player who can only surprise me as we go. As the final member of the game (alphabetically), we have some serious competition here and it really is anyone’s game.

Based on the last game I played with Mr. Sullivan, too scared really is where they belong because the fact every round the team hosting sulley won was a terrifying thought to the other teams. Is Mr. Sullivan that good? Absolutely. A creative powerhouse able to write, do art, and brainstorm, this triple threat is both someone to watch and someone to fear if you want to win this game.

Oh Tiki, where do I even begin. Tiki is an iconic player and host alike with some serious skills in creative writing and also in strategy when playing these games. Tiki wears their passions on their sleeve and is a player who loves to show off what they love. Tiki is a powerhouse in the truest sense of the word and someone who absolutely needs to be watched.
I appreciate the attempt with the pronouns, but contrary to my genderfluid status I'm still going with he/him for future reference :) Also can I just say I'm totally here for eliminations every round. The Sorcerer's Apprentice format is excellent when it comes to being able to hone your skills, but there's just something about active eliminations that make games involving them so much more engaging for me. I'm a huge sucker for seeing how everyone stacks up against each other in the actual standings. By all intents and purposes this game is basically the spiritual successor to So, You Want to be an Imagineer and I am HERE for it!! :D

I just used they for everybody to spare any having to go back and change it out of pure laziness, but noted.

Another long time player, Pi is a dangerous combination of efficient seriousness and utter chaos that lets them tackle even the wackiest projects with an utter sincerity that is both enviable and scary for players who typically play one side or the other. A jack of all trades, Pi is a powerhouse to keep your eye on.
This doesn't even mention my skills with the kazoo! Ya'll better watch out :p

A great cast with a lot of talent! Excited to work with some old friends and see what these newbies can do! Can't wait!

Welcome one and all to Visions Fantastic: An Armchair Imagineering Competition, hosted by yours truly.

It's time to begin our first project along the long trail to victory, a project that will test your creativity while being restricted in the changes and additions you can make. The hallmark of a great Imagineer isn't just the ability to think up wondrous and impossible dreams and make them a reality, but is also to work inside a box to make wonderful things out of things that are already there. What I'm talking about is HARD TICKET EVENTS...

That's right, the nights where the parks close down early despite costing the same to enter as any other day to accommodate guests paying a little extra for some unique themed entertainment, exclusive activities and meet and greets, and to ride rides with less lines and possibly thematic overlays. That brings us to our challenge.

Challenge One: Mickey's Very Merry Not So Scary Pirate and Princess Moonlight Magic Grad Horror Night of Joy Fan Night Bash

Party.jpg

Both Disney and Universal are no stranger to hard ticket events, with Disney offering events for the major holidays, DVC Moonlight Magic events for DVC members, Night of Joy, etc. and Universal owning the Halloween market with their Halloween Horror Nights as well as their recent Fan Fest Nights. We've also seen events themed to pirates and princesses, villains, Star Wars, the 90s, and more all pop up and go away year after year. Your challenge is to add to that list.

Prompt: Design a new hard ticket event for any Disney or Universal park around the world.

The rules are simple: you cannot create new attractions for these events but you are allowed to overlay any and all attractions you have at your disposal, so long as the overlay can be undone during the day or can fit into the theme during the day (ala Haunted Mansion Holiday). To go along with overlays, you should prioritize other special events like unique character appearances, themed entertainment, a special fireworks or parade (or both??), and of course, tons of food and gimmicks. Beyond that, the world is your oyster. Make it a new Easter themed event, a new take on Villains nights, Star Wars meets Marvel crossover night, Muppets take Animal Kingdom, or whatever other theme your little hearts desire.

Your Project is Due Monday June 30th at 11:59 PM PST (2:59 AM EST, 1:59 AM CST, 3:59 PM PT)

3. Extensions kept to a minimum. I set up the weeks purposely so that I will be able to review on the specific review date and too many extensions will throw that off. My real life job makes it difficult to allow myself time to read or write on any day other than Tuesdays so I scheduled around that. I understand real life can get difficult but I will only approve extensions on rare occasions. Otherwise, submit what you have!
So this was ambitious. Turns out I have a spur of the moment trip to Ohio to pick up two opossum joeys from a rescue down there on Monday and tuesday. I will try to get my reviews up then and just have my coworker drive for a bit, but if y’all need an extension this round I’ll allow one once we get closer
