It’s possible but the company hasn’t shown me that level of foresight and planning in a while. What if Simba never happens or doesn’t happen for 15-20 years and you have the entrance to the attraction hidden for a decade +?

Either way this might be the project I'm most excited for.
They set expectations pretty high by comparing this to Pirates and Haunted Mansion before they've even broken ground... if they can deliver, this could be one of the best attractions at DCA and an attraction like this is so badly needed in the west side of the park
What if the assumption of that area being used for the bridge is wrong? We don’t actually know for a fact that is the plan, it was just assumed based on some vague graphic used to sell DLForward. But as we know that was vague for a reason, it was just marketing not a for sure plan. That is a great point but I'd imagine that there's much more that we haven't seen yet. How does this tie in to the bridge across Disneyland Drive to the DLForward expansion that we've already been shown?
You'd have to walk through the Coco themed archway to get to all the other lands? That doesn't seem like the answer either.
I think Simba lot is so far off they re probably not even considering that right now.
True. But the rest of the park's western edge is consumed by the Grand Californian. And then the Paradise Gardens section is lined up with the PPH. Realisticly this area is pretty much the only place they could built a crossing to the expansion without tearing down anything major. What if the assumption of that area being used for the bridge is wrong? Fine point. The problem with this idea is that it hides the entrance that was shown in the concept art.
What visual indicator will you have to entice you down this path when standing at Silly Symphony Swings?
A sign saying "This way to Coco"? Not that great.
As long as it's executed better than Little Mermaid I'm sold.My expectations are C+/ D- ticket in scale with E ticket bells and whistles. I guess you can just average that out to a D ticket.
I think most of us around here are most excited for this followed by Avatar followed by Avengers. Which is funny because the other two are all guaranteed to be E tickets. I think a lot of this has to do the fact that we know the least about Coco so our imaginations can kind of run wild. Which can be dangerous and lead to expectations not being met.
The attraction, including its facade, is tucked behind the original pavilion. There is this archway off to the side of the pavilion that draws you around the corner to the new area.Fine point.
I'm too lazy to look for current pictures, but how is Remy's in EPCOT handled? (Isn't it similarly tucked back around/behind existing structures?)

Or use the area where Goofy’s sits now. It’s been said Goofy’s (Mullholland Madness originally) was a temporary attraction anyways. We always thought it would be used for a future attraction but what if it’s now slated to be used for the bridge instead.True. Who knows, maybe they'll go with everyone's favorite theory that they'll use Toy Story Lot for a third gate and the Simba Lot expansion will be cancelled![]()
I would love that idea but the Pixar Place Hotel lies directly across the street from Goofy's. There would need to be some creative maneuvering to make that work. It seems easier to just use the bridge they originally showed in the concept behind Boardwalk Pizza & PastaOr use the area where Goofy’s sits now. Based on positioning, my theory is Boardwalk Pizza and Pasta will be torn down for the bridge to Simba. You can build a new Pizza and Pasta place in the first phase of whatever comes to Simba. Who says that the bridges starting spot and ending spot have to be directly across from each other? The EGW pedestrian bridge won’t be based on the recent concept art, so why assume this one would be any different?I would love that idea but the Pixar Place Hotel lies directly across the street from Goofy's. Certainly possible, but I wouldn’t rule out some sort of curved bridge path or other alternative. No one said it had to be exactly like the DTD bridge, that is just an assumption. Plenty of ways to get guests across to Simba and the rest of the expansion plots.Based on positioning, my theory is Boardwalk Pizza and Pasta will be torn down for the bridge to Simba. Not impossible but doesn't seem like there's a whole lot of room to work with without tearing down Paradise Garden Grill anyway. So at that point why not just go with the Parade Gate/Pizza Pasta area instead and keep Goofy's?Who says that the bridges starting spot and ending spot have to be directly across from each other?
