'Ironheart' (Marvel Disney+ Series)

This gives me ms. Marvel vibes.

I wish. Ms. Marvel was a delight, but this looks like an uninspired mess to me. Unfortunately, Riri was IMHO the weakest part of Wakanda Forever (and seemed awkwardly inserted in the film) and really didn't provide an introduction that left the viewer wanting more from that character. This series has a vibe to me that it was approved in another time and is a vestige of a previous plan which has now significantly changed. I am curious if Ironheart will have a significant role in the MCU going forward or if this series will essentially be a one and done.

This is right there with Echo as a Marvel series I am not really inspired to watch. I never got around to watching Echo so we will see about this - I guess it will depend on whether my kids want to see it since we tend to watch a lot of a family.

So, I saw this is being released with 3 episodes on June 24 and then the remaining 3 on July 1. I'm curious if this is a new philosophy in terms of release patterns vs a lack of confidence in this show. Because it reminds me a bit of Echo that was all released on one day and fared poorly - so is this just a "let's get it all out there and move on" idea or are the episodes grouped according to some plot reason like Andor was. I guess we will see.

IMO, the one episode a week release only works anymore if the show is really good or has a big fan base. People want to binge or they lose interest.

I was curious about this project that has been sitting on the shelf for two years...WAS . Unfortunately I had some time this morning to watch the preview. IMHO it's not for me and much worse than She-Hulk. I hope that Disney removes it and takes the tax write off.

Imho after forcing myself to watch a few episodes, I'm confused if its a villain or hero show. Aside from the 'Temu Ironman' stuff that's being tossed around, I see that the protagonist doesn't hold back from using a five finger discount to acquire things she 'needs' . Questionable since she had Wakanda technology to draw from but she steals her AI and the suit (well when she was dismissed she took the suit developed with grant money but typically high dollar items created from grants belong to the funder). I wont even go into her Chicago 'funding'.

Yes just what we need a show about the intricacies of grant proposals and who gets what upon discharge. ;)

Well since no one is posting in this thread, I'm just going to put a spoiler -

After teasing for many years and many shows including a direct reference in Agatha, we finally have the first appearance of Mephisto in the fresh, played by Sasha Baron Cohen

Hopefully not in a g-string.

I was pretty bored by the first episode. Might force myself to watch the rest if it becomes important later on.

It wasn't actively bad like Secret Invasion, but it's in the same category as Echo where I just found myself struggling to get excited to continue with the series.
