Before people get antsy.. they should remember Disney can take 6-12months on refurbs that don't even include changing the ride system :)

Seeing the major construction of the track swap done in what feels like a short time is great. But it's still like opening a new coaster from this point on.. and still a MASSIVE attraction all around it being refurbished.. and those two things still need to happen concurrently.. slowing both down.

I'll just be thrilled if Disney completes this in 2yrs total.. given their track record that feels like breakneck speed for them. If it finishes in 18months or less I'll be wondering if there is hope for the future...

There is now track coming out of the maintenence barn, and also new footers poured for new track.

Knowing that coaster barn structure would be visible to guests from the railroad and Tiana's, I wish they used Corten (intentionally) rusted siding so it fits into the area theme.

Weathering steel is not a very good material choice in Florida as the humidity can prolonge the corrosion process. It is even less ideal for a pre-engineered maintenance building where you’d be looking at a custom wall assembly versus the manufacturer’s standard panels. It’d be a better use of the funds to do scenic painting on the guest visible portions.

Is it possible we'll hear more details about this project at Destination D23? I realize Disney's been very vague about the refurb only going as far to say there'll be "new magic." I mean it's obvious though the track's been replaced. But when Disneyland announced their BTM was going under refurb in 2013, they said ahead of time what was going to happen (replacement of ride track/vehicles and show improvements).
