I think he's in charge of the new Avengers rides at DCA.
I don't know how true it is now, but I vaguely recall he became one of the Portfolio Creative Executives over the entire Disneyland Resort. Its why a few years ago some noise was made about an Instagram picture he made about the old Motorboat area with a comment that referenced "checking out a new project" or something.

So while I agree he likely has his hands in the mix for Avengers Infinity Defense, I believe its actually Scot Drake who is the head of the project.

Okay just rewatched D23, and yes Scott was the one who came out for the Marvel section of the panel, with Josh.

So he may just be overall Marvel for imagineers right now, across the globe?

Which one you talking about Scot Drake or Scott Trowbridge? Slightly different spelling of the first name, but I usually use the last name in this case since both are named Scott.

As I believe that Drake is over most of Marvel for WDI, again if I remember correctly.

Trowbridge was the one who gave the presentation at D23.

Some have an issue with him due to his involvement in GE.

Personally I don’t have an “issue” with him but I think he vastly overestimated how much people would be into the hyper immersive thing. To be fair though, with all the scope cuts to the land, we never really got to see the full vision. Maybe the banthas would have given just enough of the kinetics the land is lacking. Obviously more characters/ aliens/ droids walking around would have helped too.

Interesting. I knew he was project lead for Rise but kind of forgot he was actually the creative lead for all of Galaxy's Edge.

I'm ambivalent about the land as a whole, but I'd argue Rise is a masterpiece (I'm aware many around here feel differently) and wouldn't really pin all of the land's failings on Trowbridge specifically. If we're going down that road, as mickEblu pointed out, it's probably worth noting that we didn't really get to see WDI's actual vision for a hyper-immersive Galaxy's Edge due to budget cuts.

I was in Galaxy's Edge earlier this week, while we're on the topic. I feel like I had the perfect Galaxy's Edge experience.
  • Entered the land at night, so the lack of shade was not an issue
  • Queued up for Rise of the Resistance after 9pm and waited 15 minutes (30 minutes less than the posted wait time)
  • Caught the "Fire of the Rising Moons" fireworks show (perfectly pleasant)
  • Tried the Rondo-less Garden Wrap (turns out, it's among the best food items in the park)
  • Walked past the impressive Falcon (and ignored the unimpressive ride) on my way to Frontierland
Then I left. That's how you do Galaxy's Edge.

Try the fried chicken baos from Docking Bay 7 next time. It’s the best of the rontoless wrap but with fried chicken instead. I agree that Rontoless wraps are good but on off days when the “protein” is cold they re awful.

Rest In Peace Brian Wilson. A true genius and legend. I wore out that orange Beach Boys greatest hits CD in college.

A brilliant man and, reportedly, a kind soul. I took the day off Wednesday and was actually sitting on the beach in Malibu (Point Dume) when I read the news. Felt like the perfect place to reflect on his legacy, and was easy enough to insert some Pet Sounds tracks into my beach playlist.
