MK Cars-Themed Attractions at Magic Kingdom

All while avoiding the fact that Snow White's Scary Adventure, Mr. Toad, 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea, The Swiss Family Robinson Tree House, Splash Mountain etc., were all IP.

I think you will find that most people don't have a problem with IP based attractions in general, they have a problem with IP exclusively, or it being forced into places where they feel it is inappropriate.

What does this even mean? You didn't answer my question. Why should the average Disney guest care if something is a "wasted space that is bad for business"?

You’re moving the goal posts… yesterday it was why we talk about it here, now you say ‘average guest’ like just the customers moving through the park.

The people spending years on a discussion forum are not ‘average guests’ nor are the discussions here always relevant to just enjoying the park.

The answer is because we are discussing the rationale and reasons behind choices, not just enjoying the end results.

That means facing all the constraints the company has to deal with… not just fantasy where one gets to just ignore or hide from things they don’t want to deal with.

I understand.
I'm not for IP just for the sake of IP.
Just playing Devil's Advocate.
Anyone who ever stepped into a Disney Park when the parks first opened surely expected to see about as much Disney stuff as possible.
I'm quite certain the term IP wasn't even one the public really knew, or used.

611 pages in, and I still see the same people repeating the same ridiculous talking points: "waste of space", "underutilized space", "good business move", etc, etc. Unless you're a Disney employee or own Disney stock, why do you care about that? What impact does that have on your park experience? If you're someone that says "I love Cars, looking forward to this area" or "I am excited for something new at MK", then I can respect that, because you are giving an opinion based on your enjoyment of the parks. The average guest shouldn't care about whats "best for business" for Disney.
I’m a shareholder and former CM and I am VEHEMENTLY against this plan.

I agree. If you are arguing for this because you sincerely like Cars or truly feel that they will do a good job on this and that MK won’t just become an expensive Six Flags….well, then great and good for you.

On the other hand, those defending with terms like “this will up their bottom line”

Great. How is that good for guests?

How is it bad for the guest? I get being against it for your own principles but it's for the betterment of the park. This is a fact.

I live in Orlando, I talk to people (including current Cast Members). Anecdotally, the consensus is that Disney has fallen in quality.

Do you think if you asked the average Guest about Disney Parks and if they’re better now than they were ten, twenty or thirty years ago….that they would agree?

Epcot, Splash to TBA, LL, the deterioration of Tomorrowland. It’s a pattern. I HATE that I feel this way, but again, talking to APs, CMs and locals….i know I’m not in the minority.
