It I strictly have to pick between those two proposals though, I’d def be more on board with a Hades movie then a live action remake of the animated Hercules .. ‘however’, again, try to keep the character & story integrity in place that doesn’t retcon any of the original film and work w some of the original film crew, perhaps to ensure that?
I’d personally prefer they do stuff like that in traditional animation w the same directors & animators (if they want to return) as the OG behind it, plus new animators that genuinely want to learn from/work alongside the original guys. ‘But’ hey, I liked the Christopher Robin sequel film done in live action.. so, take that for what it’s worth. If it keeps the same cast and does what it can to retain the integrity of the characters in the original films (possibly even the original source material it was based on aswell), I’m okay with that.
No point in remaking the very same film though or doing a sequel to that a remake, just keep it as-is. (Basically, if it were ever on the table. No I’d absolutley not be in support of them remaking The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh in live-action. That’s just pointless. At that point just re-release the original ‘77 compilation film to theaters w a nice 4K remastered print, have a good marketing & merch campaign, and an art-of/making-of book out as I mentioned).
